yea that is what made him a bad ass person he killed it! now that is a real man, but still wish he got off the island to i was really sad by what happen

When I played that scene and killed the raptor I was like: That's for Muldoon!!!

Oscar was the man, my favorite character by far! Literally being torn apart by the Raptors as he's dragging himself to the door controls with one final objective: to save the lives of the others. he knew was going to die if he went for the switch, but he did it anyways, sacrificing his life for everyone else's.

A true hero.

As much of a Nintendo fanboy as I am, that commercial was AWESOME.

But yeah, Oscar was just plain awesome. Took out a raptor with a knife, got past so many others to hit that switch even as the pack leader's teeth dug into him.

Yeah, he was my favourite too. I was hoping that he'd pull a back-from-the-dead in the finale or something, since once the QTE where he died was over, the raptors started going after the other survivors immediately. So basically, the raptor just stepped on him, and while that would leave wounds from their talons, they didn't maul or eat him or anything so survival might be possible.

Oscar was definately one of the best characters. I don't think anyone expected him to be so like-able. His death was probably the hardest to take for me as a player. I didn't expect Sorkin to die so that was unexpected. I also thought yoder would survive…until…he got greedy.

The moment where Oscar fights the raptor in the dark and ends up killing him was one of the nicest moments in the game.

Near as I could tell, he was fatally wounded. Plus the alpha raptor basically told the others to back off.

Yep, Oscar was my favorite too, I expected him to be the generic tough guy character, but he took it to whole another level when he punched that Raptor in the face!

Sure, I guess his lungs, heart or any other vital organ would have likely been punctured by that raptor stepping on him....

But it's not a strict neccissity. Survival could have been explained by the claws just piercing muscle tissue or something and him passing out from the pain.

I mean, I'm not saying that he should have survived it, I'm just saying that survival wouldn't have been impossible. There have been worse moments in fiction of people dying and coming back later... even in the JP series. Malcom is all but confirmed to have died from his wounds in the first book, but miraculously survived it in the second. I think they even pulled a "rumors of my death were greatly exxegerated" thing there.

The most hilarious character during QTE's has to be Gerry. When you mess up he trips and stumbles.

Even when you don't half the time it looks like he's just fumbling around barely getting away.
