The parody news site The Onion has a twitter feed where they link to new and old articles, and this one just popped up. They're talking about a horse, but they're probably also hiding a cow:

Seems like it's a reference to this short, given how the three horse-hiders are going by the Three Stooges' real names.

Still, possible influence?
