I've been seeing that news bouncing around lately, and I'm a little distressed by it. Not that they're leaving, but that they're "companions" again. Their exit in The God Complex didn't necessarily provide closure for them as characters, but I think it was a sensible end to their time in the Tardis. I would personally prefer scattered appearances from them across the next season rather than forcing them back aboard the Tardis for a few more episodes before giving them a more depressing reason to re-depart. Let them go on with their lives and maybe just check up on them from time to time before finally letting them go, that's how I'd do it. But, whatever

Also, an American would have shot Hitler at least 27 times. The British are simply too hoplophobic. Either that, or the Doctor would have objected and they knew it.

Vaguely related tangent: why do the bad guys always get the best uniforms?

Yeah, that doesn't work because you've left the closing bracket outside of the URL tag (it's the last letter, the one that's not blue). It should be like so:

Also, villains tend to have evil minions to design their outfits for them. If it's bad, kill 'em and get someone else to try. If it's good, kill 'em and keep it. It's a pretty efficient system.

All the heroes have are... well, themselves. That doesn't usually work out so well. See almost every superhero who doesn't wear black.

I just tried that game out (you can play it now on http://www.doctorwhowit.com) because I didn't have anything better to do. I guess it's not for me. You walk around and complete minigames while there is some sort of (weak) story going on. You craft abilities and you level up and you can unlock avatar-rewards or something. It's also not fun in any way. Just a weird, frustrating mess. In order to punch an auton you have to... play Blitz through Time?

Oh, and you can also use your very real money to buy weird stuff in the game. Yeah.

Yeah, after the 'preview' I watched a few weeks ago I gave up hope in it. Still no good Doctor Who game has ever been made. It's the curse of the timelords.

I have high hopes for The Eternity Clock, though.

Big Finish have given subscribers to this month's release the JNT Memoirs, read by JNT himself, for free as it's not intended to be printed any further. I'm listening to it right now, and it's actually rather revealing. It's sad thinking how fans actually attacked him with bats on one occasion because they didn't like his time on the show. (There'll also be one more bonus before the end of the month, most likely an audio reading of a Christmas short from one of the Short Trips books. (I want it to beThe Gift, which features the First Doctor and deals with the Brigadier's Death, so'd fit all the bills to close out the year)).
