I love this show. I have seen 11 seasons of this show. For me King of the Hill(s9, e23) is the best episode.

I think on the last episode of the Simpsons Smithers and Mr Burns should get married.

Assuming of course that Springfield isn't in North Carolina.

The show used to be really good. Should have been put to pasture a long time ago.

One thing I dislike about the newer episodes (the one isn't meant to mean this is the only thing) is how the background characters keep getting bigger parts in the show especially The Rich Texan and Moe, there seems to have been endless episodes about his backstory and depression. I find his Flanderization more jarring than Flanders how did he change from just the ugly, surly and hateful bartender who secretly reads to the homeless and children at the hospital to this guy who always seems to be trying to commit suicide or lamenting how bad his life is. There were great old episodes that dealt with Moe in a sidestory like Bart Sell his Soul and Raging Homer.

Here's a question what episode(s) did you think the show jumped the shark?

Flanderization is a matter of practical necessity for The Simpsons. The original shorts acted as an outlandish parody of a universal telvision-watching culture that simply doesn't exist anymore. Their core concept has been stripped away for years. They can't look to something else to exaggerate, so all they're left with is to look inward and exaggerate the existing cast. There's no other way to keep the show going, really.

There have also been a lot of bad ones, including the last console release. I originally enjoyed Bart VS The Space Mutants, but looking back, it wasn't a very good game either.

I loved the Simpsons Game! Mind you, I played it pretty much colely co-op, which may have had something to do with it. Sure it was very generic gameplay-wise, but it was funny, and had some original ideas to it. The combat system needed work though. And some of the later levels (Grand theft Scratchy was incredibly dull.)

Loved Simpsons Hit & Run. I remember one Christmas everybody just started it up in the afternoon and we just sat there joking while messing about on it for 4-5 hours. Probably the last good Christmas for me which is weird since we did nothing much.

Simpsons is capable of so much because it was that damn good when people about my age were growing up you'd always have to watch the new eps. But it just seems too comfortable and overused now. I love the Simpsons, but maybe when they get to Season 25 they should slow down and write half as many eps a year?

Well, if we're talking games...

The Simpsons Arcade Game is a work of art and if you don't have it on XBLA/PSN then you're seriously missing out.

The two on the PS1 are so horrifically abysmal they must never be mentioned again.

Road Rage is a blatant, and I mean blatant rip-off of Crazy Taxi. That's not to say it's bad though, because it's not. It's actually quite fun if you're in the mood. It's far from perfect mind, but it's still enjoyable.

Hit and Run is GTA for kids. And it's glorious. Driving around a fully 3D (albeit slightly inaccurate) version of Springfield is great fun, as is smashing stuff up, punching aliens and revisiting all those classic episodes with the vehicles you can drive. Lot of fun to be had with this one.

The Simpsons Game is... better than it should be. It's pretty much a standard third-person platformer, but because it's been made with something similar to, though not quite, 'care', there's a lot to enjoy. The plot doesn't make a lick of sense and it does start to wear out its welcome by the end but the humour carries it surprisingly far and the fact that it's playable in co-op is added fun.

...any I'm missing?
