I see what you did there.

Today's Daily Deal is Hacker Evolution Duality. £4.48 / $5.98.

Today's Paradox Price-Cut is the Mount & Blade series. Mostly 75% off. Only four titles, so I'll be generous.

Mount & Blade - £2.49 / $3.74
Mount & Blade: Warband - £3.74 / $4.99
Mount & Blade: Warband - Napoleonic Wars DLC - £3.99 / $4.99 (it came out in April, which is why it's 50% off)
Mount & Blade: With Fire & Steel - £1.99 / $2.49
...and the entire collection: £7.49 / $8.74

I recommend Warband and its expansion.

Very, very fun. Especially multiplayer.
(Napoleonic Wars is multiplayer only btw)

Today's Daily Deal is Sega All-Stars Racing (I flat-out REFUSE to put 'Sonic and' at the beginning of the name, it's quite possible the most redundant thing ever). It's pretty good value at £2.49 / $3.74, though probably best on a console rather than the PC. Still, it's your call, not kine.

Today's Paradox Price-cut is the Crusader Kings series, all 75% off.

Crusader Kings I Complete - £1.99 / £2.49
Crusader Kings II Collection - £9.49 / $12.49

Crusader Kings II has a bunch of DLC I won't list, but it's all included in the above mentioned Collection.

Today's Daily Deal is the Broken Sword Triple-Pack. The first three games in the series for 2.50, whatever your currency (grr). Individually, the first one's 1.25 all round (GRR) while the others are £1 / $1.50.

In Euros it's actually 1.75, which is much cheaper than £2.50.

The Broken Sword series are MUST BUY games if you have never played them before, and even if you have, it might be worth getting them on Steam too anyway.

This is a bit late, sorry. Was busy recording footage for my next review-WHOOPS YOU DIDN'T HEAR THAT.

Today's Daily Deal is Velvet Assassin. An OK stealth game set during WW2. 1.69, whatever your currency (grr).

First Midweek Madness is the stupidly named F.3.E.A.R. £5.20 / $8. It's... OK. Too much of a co-op focus on what was formerly a single-player franchise, but it's not entirely terrible either way.

Other Midweek Madness is an insane collection of Indie Games going by the name of The Potato Sack. £14.99 / $19.99 get you every single one of the following games, including giftable copies of any you happen to already own:
- 1... 2... 3... KICK IT! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby)
- AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome
- Amnesia: The Dark Descent
- Audiosurf
- BIT.TRIP BEAT
- COGS
- Defence Grid: The Awakening
- Killing Floor
- Rush
- Super Meat Boy
- The Ball
- The Wonderful End of the World
- Toki Tori

...each individual game is also half price, but seriously, if you want one, buy the whole damn pack. This sort of thing is exactly why we have a Goodwill Gifting thread.

Also, Indie Game: The Movie is now out on Steam, as is the latest Sins of a Solar Empire, which I hope gets a better release than the previous game in the series. Oof.

Its kind of annoying that I already own 1,2,3 and AAAAAAH (old version) on Non-steam sources.

Those and The Wonderfull end of the World are the only ones I am missing.

But it makes about £9 to get them all, and I can't be bothered to be honest. (at 75% I'd be tempted)

Eh, I should be saving my monies anyway...

I find it kind of annoying that they're trotting out last years' indie greats, when we have a year's worth of new ones that could use the revival of a Potato Sack-style promotion of the size and splendor of the original. The Potato Sack reveled in what the Portal series really should be about at its very core, the celebration of new and interesting ideas in game design from small, innovative teams, but given the kind of corporate power a company like Valve can provide.

True.

But I think getting all the AR stuff going without something to attach it to is pretty hard.

(You never know, they may have originally planned a new potato pack but couldn't get all the devs to work in the extra stuff in time, if at all!)

Plus I wouldn't count Valve out jussst yet. They might do a second potato sack next week or tomorrow.
Make it even bigger. Its possible (though pretty unlikely...).

Its interesting "reunion" is used. Like its an old class or something....

New ARG, anyone? I really hope not, as the last one ate up all my spare time for 2 weeks.

Only missing 3 games (only 2 if they had'nt put in the new version of A 25 times) and there is actually a reason I don't own those yet: I don't want them.

Today's Daily Deal is Darkspore. It's... OK. £3.79 / $4.99.

All the Spore games are on sale, actually. I rather enjoyed them, but the DRM is evil.

I thought they'd increased/disposed of the install limit. Have they not?

Also, you're right - it's the entire Spore series, though it's not particularly week advertised. You'll pretty much have to search for the games, since there's no real link to them from the front page.

If you do want the original Spore, I suggest you get it with the Galactic Adventures add-on.
The two are £11.24 / $9.99 (wait, what? How the fuck does THAT work?)

On with the EA bashing again... this has happened a lot of time on Steam sales, the last time I remember was THQ's Company of Heroes sale - all three games together in a package were a little bit more expensive (and even more than 1 cent expensive ) than if you'd buy the three CoH games individually.
