After lowering my pledge to SpaceVenture to $100 due to my credit card being maxed out, I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to do $100 for Tex. I completely forgot about my Paypal Bill Me Later Account! So, $100 went to Tex from me tonight. Yay for Paypal!

31 hours to go. We're getting close to meeting our LAST STRETCH GOAL. If you haven't pledged, NOW IS THE TIME

This may not be the best place to discuss this, but is anyone else getting a little weary of people coming on the site pretty much just to get us to pledge to these things? I get fans wanting to support these projects, but the sheer number of people going round and posting such pre-processed cookie cutter speeches about how we need to do our part and increase our pledges is getting a tad frustrating, to me at least. Am I alone in that?

The previous page of this thread is full of the sorts of posts I'm referring to, if you're not sure what I mean.

I would be weary of it if they were new users, but everyone on the previous page who was making those types of posts had registered well before the Tex Murphy kickstarter went live. It's just excitement.

1 was new. In total, I've seen about 4 or 5 "new users" do it though. A couple of them were involved with the projects which is a bit weirder. Since when has the TTG forums been on anyone's radar? For the most part, they do seem redundant though as there are a few of us that check Kickstarter regularly anyway. We're just left with these "hey check this out" posts of projects we're already or have already discussed. Oh well. Keep it up? why not? Make us famous baby!

...and apparently Tex was told they could do their draws while Lilly can't. Odd.

I do have to say that I actually liked 3-Headed-Monkey's post about the stretch goals. I like it better than the percentage listed on the kickstarter and refer to that post when I check to see how the kickstarter total is doing.

WOOHOO!!!

The third stretch goal has been reached!

Live orchestra and golf mini-game, here I come (in more ways than one)!

No way is life this good! A new Tex Murphy game with all the trimmings?! Who'd have thought it!

Ok, so apparently there was a ever-hopeful film adaptation of Under a Killing Moon called Black Sun Ascending. It was written but never pitched due to a perceived lack of interest.

...and I've just won a copy of the screenplay. Go me!

That's surprising! It's also awesome!

That's a shame.

OH HEY LOOK WHAT ARRIVED IN THE POST TODAY.

For those curious, here's what the two hand-written notes say:

Quote:
Hi Chris! Thanks for being a Tex Murphy backer.
[Signed] Chris Jones "Tex Murphy"
Quote:
Hi Chris - This script was for a "real" Tex Murphy movie. Sadly it didn't get made (yet!). Hope you enjoy!
[Signed] Aaron Conners
I have absolutely no idea where to put this this awesome thing of awesomeness.
