I will agree with the rest the Duck is way to dumb for his age. Clementine shouldn't be older than him and she clearly understands the situation they are in and the consequences of people's actions. If she doesn't, she asks Lee.
What is scary actually is that Duck doesn't seem to really care about Shawn's death and his involvement in it. He keeps being stupid and annoying, cries out loud for food when apparently there isn't any and as a whole doesn't really understand what's happening around him. If Clem was responsible for Shawn's death, I'm sure that she would've been really depressed about it. Duck, however, doesn't seem affected at all.
Another thing that I find odd is that neither Kenny, nor Katjaa actually go checking on him in Hershel's farm. I mean, they know he is retarded, you don't just let a retarded kid play with tractors. Katjaa, however, prefers to sit and talk with Clem, doing nothing. Absolutely useless, as usual.
They've proven themselves to be liability to my group. Even Katjaa's veterinarian knowledge doesn't justify her and Kenny's lack of initiative.

How about Shawn? Why didnt he do something about Duck sitting on the tractor?
I would never stand in front of a tractor where a kid was playing.
Perhaps Shawn is the retard, because Duck was supposed to be the smartest of the 2.

Katjaa is sweet isn't she? I think in an ideal world, they'd be a great family. Loving mom, protective dad, cheerful kid. But being in the current world they are in now, I guess it brought out the worst in Kenny. Kaatja kept her poise, so I'm kinda imprressed by her.

No, I don't have much experience 10 year old boys. However, I remember when I was 10 years old. I was a very obedient kid and if something like that happened I'm sure I would've been traumatized.
Maybe you are correct, putting the blame entire on Duck isn't right. However, he needs to realize the consequences of his actions. He doesn't have the luxury to grow up slow and steady. He need to start behaving more like Clem and comic Carl. Else, he will die really soon and I'm not going to risk the lives of the entire group only to save him.
His parents, however, do not have ANY excuse for the incident. Kenny knows his son is a bit slow, why would he agree with Shawn's idea and let the kid on the tractor. I mean, Shawn's isn't supposed to know everything about a kid that he doesn't know. He's only trying to entertain Duck because his parents apparently fail at that, also. Don't blame Shawn - he's a good guy. Kenny however... grr we should move to our f*** Kenny thread.

If the adults told Duck not to sit on the tractor, he did it anyways and ran Shawns leg over. Ok, put some blame on him. Spank his ass and tell him he has been a bad boy.
But they allow Duck to sit there, then an accident happen? Nope, not Ducks fault. I dont care what the rest of the forum say.

And you guys seem to forget one thing. Duck did not kill Shawn, the zombies did.
Shawns injury would most likely not have been fatal. Allthough he might have lost that leg without surgery. Amazing isnt it that 3 zombies appear out of nowhere just as Duck run his leg over.

Shawn is a good guy, but his decision to let Duck sit on the tractor cost him his life.
