Default Those that sided with Kenny in the meat locker..

..because Larry was probably dead and he would've turned. Would you have done the same if it was Carley/Doug lying there? Or Kenny/Katjaa? Lilly? Or even worse.. Clem?

Just wondering if an apparent disike for Larry influenced that decision.

It probably did. Me, I tried to save him, but I can understand why some people sided with him, even if they were on good terms with L-man...
L-man? Where did that come from?

Ironically it requires an additional character to right out L-Man as opposed to Larry. XD

For me it was a combination of dislike for Larry combined with fear over his size if he did in fact turn undead, unzombified Larry was able to knock Lee and Kenny down with one punch each, that's scary enough.

Your point being?

I understand him, and can see how he could be a walker threat, but I'm a softie...

In the heat of the moment of my 1st playthrough I killed him. Mainly cause I thought it would be game over right then and there-cause of his size and the close quarters; but the fact that he was a total a hole the entire game certainly took (all) the sting out of it.

Maybe not though - they almost couldn't handle the zombie!teacher / student. And Larry is twice the size of both of them.

I don't condone what Kenny did, but i do think that the fear was quite real.

i was on kennys side already so that was a factor to why i smashed his brains in, as well as his size and he is strong and also he argued that you should kill people before they are dangerous and i was pretty sure he was a zombie.

if it was kenny and larry was shouting at me to kill him i would have tried to save him but i wasnt going to do mouth to mouth to a possible zombie and if he turned larry would rip his head off.

if it was lilly and larry was shouting at me to save her (mainly for alliance purposes) i would have tried to save her(no mouth to mouth) but there is a possibility larry wouldn't let us kill her if she zombified so we may have to deal with 2 zombies but only one at a time (figuring larry would get bit protecting her) and we could kill her and then smash larrys skull in before he gets up.

if it was carly/doug i would have tried to save them (no mouth to mouth) even though i would imagine everyone else would be against it, if someone else was trying to save them i may have been neutral and said nothing, but lee, larry, kenny and lilly could take them out if they turned.

if it was Clementine i would try and save her (maybe mouth to mouth if i had to) and if she turned i would take her out myself

if it was Katjaa and larry said to kill her but kenny wanted to save her i would i would try and save her (no mouth to mouth) if she turned larry would rip her head off

so it was mainly the threat larry posed and poetic justice plus i was on kennys side, if i was on larrys/lillys side the first try i would try to save him (no mouth to mouth) but we could have all died if he came back but it would have been a gamble i was willing to take if i was truely on his side

Lee has never been able to kill a walker on his own without some sort of blunt or sharp "brain scrambling" weapon - we have none of those in the locker. I really don't know what people are expecting them to kill a walker with - bare hands?

As to the OP, I never wanted to kill Larry. It was a multitude of reasons for why I let Kenny drop the salt lick on him. We were in a small, enclosed space, without any sort of weapons that would be able to stop a moving walker. Lilly was in a fragile emotional state, and if her father had turned, I didn't think I could rely upon her 100 percent to help us get rid of it. Kenny had made a point earlier that he was so weak from hunger that he nearly passed out on the walk over to the farm (I assumed Lee and Lilly to be in nearly the same state). Larry was physically bigger and stronger in real life. Had any of these things been different (say that Larry was a small guy, or that we weren't locked in a small space), I wouldn't have gone through with it.

The fact that he was an a-hole means that I probably won't mourn his loss. but it wasn't a motivating factor in needing to smash his head in.

I wonder if those same people spared the brothers later on in the game?

OK, I did spare the brothers, but until I saw Andy and fought him, I honestly thought there would be a chance to deal with them after everyone was safe.

In the end, though, I just couldn't kill him. For one, he was no longer a direct threat. Two, his mother was dead, and most likely his brother as well (Danny DID take a sickle to the shoulder a few times, and got his leg caught in a bear trap - he probably bled out in the barn). He was all alone, and I figured either the Walkers would get him eventually or the Bandits would ( I thought the Bandits were more likely, as they were already pissed at the family).

My point being your L-Man nickname for him requires more typing than his actual name. Thought that was obvious.

I tried saving Larry for a number of reasons

- despite been an ass it's better having an ally/extra pair of hands
- i generally think we could've crushed zombie cranium before he rose to his feet
- Clem was watching
