Okay, so this got me worried:

How could they ever mess up?

I'm sure they wanted the tags there, so that it would show up when people searched for Smash Bros, but they probably freaked out when they saw that people were noticing the tags being visible

From a marketing perspective, it's a rather stupid idea, especially with the Wii U just being announced as getting a release date this November (although for monetary reasons, I hope they delay the release).

See it in perspective. People for at least a year have been waiting for any information of not one, but two Super Smash Bros. announcements, one for the Wii U and one for the 3DS. It's a stupid idea to tag something with something that is actually being anticipated.

Sluggish, repetitious fighting...with trivia questions? If you're going to rip off Smash Bros...rip it off well.

Well, the trivia questions aren't that big a deal, it's been confirmed that stage hazards can be turned off, which is actually an improvement over Super Smash Bros.

Turning off stage hazards is only an improvement if you're under the mistaken impression that games like Super Smash Bros. are competitive fighting games, rather than the glorified party games that they are. This doesn't mean they aren't FUN. I have a great time bashing in Pikachu's face with Bowser's fist or having Sonic spin-dash into Mario, but these are not highly structured competitive games.

Stage hazards are part of the fun.

...why couldn't they make this game more akin to classic arcade style fighting instead? They... they didn't need to emulate the same gameplay scheme, considering the fact that what will sell this game are the characters.

This game will be garbage due to lack of Ice Climbers.

A hacker has apparently cracked open the Beta and found a bunch of stuff. Including Ratchet, Raiden and Sir Daniel Fortesque.

Is that stage in the corner off Ape Escape!? If it has Ape Escape in it I might play it.

It is from Ape Escape. One of the characters is Spike, apparently.

Sweet! It makes sense the gadgets make good SSB fighting gameplay.

The huge disappointment called Evil Cole is in my opinion offset by the awesomeness that is Sir Daniel.
