Most people invoke that at some point. Ryan does seem to have a habit of not knowing when to stop, but it's only a mildly annoying habit, and he doesn't post all that often, so it's certainly tolerable.

I don't know. I think its a combination of incredibly short, mundane and constant "in a row" styled posts, and his terrible spelling and grammar.

Also on topic: I loathe Secret Agent Clank. I don't have a PSP, so I had to import the Australian PS2 version and my GOD was it not worth the expense. I wasn't particularly thrilled with Size Matters, but to take the series in a completely different direction - and one that sucked so much - was a huge mistake. Slow-as-hell stealth sections? Quick-time events? Dull as hell racing? Frustrating combat 'arenas'? Tiresome Quark stage shows? FAIL.

I don't got the ps2 version of Secret Agent Clank or Size Matters. I got them for PSP and i hear from reviews that the PSP versions are better than the ps2 versions. I like Secret Agent Clank but that could have something to do with Clank is my favorite Ratchet & Clank character.

The thing about them is that, for PSP games, they're not terrible. But when you compare them to the PS2 games (which is much easier to do when you're playing the PS2 ports), they really do fail to stand up. At all.

The levels are tiny, the camera is terrible (there wasn't one for the PSP versions - it was added to the PS2 ones), the weapons (for all of Size Matters and the Ratchet-in-Prison sections of Secret Agent Clank) are boring, the music is meh, the plots make absolutely no sense, the gameplay is substandard and the whole experience feels more like a pair of misguided fan games rather than professionally made titles.

Also, Secret Agent Clank's Guitar Hero-styled quick-time event sections are really quite badly coded and as a result it's nigh impossible to get the skill point for completing them flawlessly. HATE.

Ok i agree with you there but i don't think they should be compared with the PS2 games or for that matter the PS3 games. Because of 2 reasons. 1.They are PSP games so they won't be as good as the PS2 or PS3 games. 2. Because when they are compared to the PS2 and PS3 games of course they won't be as good as them.

I know that, but you can't just ignore what came before. They are, effectively, a continuation of the franchise (SAC excepted - I'm convinced that's out-of-canon) and it's really hard not to feel let down by them.
(I certainly wouldn't compare them to the PS3 games. That'd be insanely stupid.)

Even on their own they just feel... meh. Like they're only made out of contractual obligation rather than because the people involved really wanted to make them.

Ah, you say that, but quite a few PS2 ports, such as "The Warriors" were actually very good ports of PS2, almost 1:1 in many cases.

Probably the hasty development, and the fact that they were developed by side-teams like High Impact Games, make them inferior titles compared to the ones developed by the main team.

EDIT: As for the capabilities of the PSP, its actually a pretty powerful console for its time.
Look at a later PSP game like Birth By Sleep, compared to say GTA Vice City Stories, and you can see a major graphical differences. Truly the PSP's full potential wasn't unleashed until the last 3 or so years.

Jak & Daxter, beyond a doubt. It was flawed, but still had more imagination and flair than either Ratchet & Clanks.

I agree but one problem i think is after a little while and a couple of levels Dark Daxter & the ship fights really get boring after a while.
