No way. Toeing lines of popularity, using safe gags, and being entirely uncontroversial in any way that could potentially be interesting or distinctive is how he has gained and sustained his internet popularity. It's a smart business move considering he makes his living off this crap.

Like I said, Temple of Doom was a surprise of a review. A vast majority of 80's action fans loved that movie.

People argue his opinion or missed facts and such, he doesn't really back himself up as he's "not in character". Most of his responses are "I thought it would make it more entertaining", "I was able to get more material this way" or "I'm sorry, I didn't actually do much research". That's just how it goes with him I suppose.
