I thought, when they were talking about weapons, it was implied that they were needed. I don't recall anything about Kat actually carrying one. The one on the couch could have been Kenny's. I've wondered if part of the reason she was uncomfortable around guns was because she knew there was a risk of turning one on herself, even before Duck was bitten. Suicide is usually not a spur-of-the-moment decision. The Duck incident may have sealed the deal, but I'd be surprised if the idea hadn't been in the back of her mind for a while.

Or maybe Duck shot her.

Yeah, but technically that doesn't say she has one, or carries one at all times, or has at all. Heck, except when she offs herself, she never fires a single shot, to my recollection. >_>

Or maybe Katjaa doesn't like guns because she's from Belgium, with very strict gun control, who like me (living in Canada), didn't grow up with the American armed-to-the-teeth attitude.
