[Episode 2 Spoiler]Why was one of the rations left an apple?
I mean seriously how'd the apple from mark's rations last 3 months without spoiling? It was clearly a commercial apple and I didn't notice any apple orchards nearby...

Not only was it an apple, but it was an apple cut in half.... so it hasent dried? I don't get that either.
