Yep, as has been mentioned before, the next series will be the last. Which is just as well, since they've pretty much run out of stories to adapt.

I think he was praying for forgiveness, since it looked like he had a really hard time accepting the administration of justice by non-representatives of the law.
In any case, I liked the earlier, more light-hearted episodes better (also because of the Japp, Miss Lemon, and Hastings gang, and Hastings is coming back for
Curtain, which should be reason enough to watch it despite sentimentalities

). While the latter episodes are acted out quite well, they tend to depart a
lot from the source material. That's not always bad, but sometimes they just go overboard with it.
David Suchet
is Poirot. Others merely play him.
