I don't think Frasier Crane is an obnoxious man. I think he's a sad one, and so is his brother for much of the show. Whereas his brother is able to move beyond his dreary life and wives who drag him through the mud and emasculate him, Frasier only gets more and more bogged down by his own issues. I haven't seen the final season, though I've certainly seen all of the others, so I can't comment on what becomes of him.

If you have cable and live in the US check your guide. I watch it every other night. It's one of my favorite shows. I didn't mean to imply that the sole focus of the show was pretention. You know, haha, you've convinced me that Fraiser isn't pretentious at all.

This is such a great review of the series!

I guess I just get that impression by a few class mates, and from these academic journals and scholarly letters I'm reading.

But , I don't want to judge any more . Thank you .

Oh, I don't watch it in order either.

As I recall, the final season deals with Frasier having to deal with everyone in his life moving forward. His brother has a baby, and his dad finds love again. In the meantime, a woman who runs a matchmaking service moves into his building and manages to sucker him into signing up for her service. All his dates are horrible, he realizes Charlotte couldn't get any other men to sign up, and he loses his money because she already used it to pay off some debts. In spite of all this, he falls for her, just as she gets together with her ex. He spends the rest of the season trying to reconcile his feelings for her and, later, trying to pursue a relationship with her. In the end, they're together for a short while before she leaves him to return home to Chicago. In the end, Martin gets married and moves out, Daphne has her baby, and Frasier has accepted a job in San Francisco. When his plane lands, however, the captain announces their arrival in Chicago.

Trying to teach my little brother how to play Rhythm Heaven Fever on the Wii.

He's not doing very well with timings... XD

(But the game has piqued his interests. He's already turned it back on to practice, after I finished playing, so maybe he'll learn something eventually! )

EDIT: I thought he beat the level, but it turns out he was watching a walkthrough on youtube the whole time! XD

(Its not the sort of game you can memorise buddy. You got to *feel* the rhythm dude! )

Still, I hope he can eventually clear a level or two because I want him to play the dual mode with me!

EDIT 2: Heh. I used to watch Frasier a bit when I had temporary accomodation at uni. Oh yes, one episode of Frasier, the breakfast, then off to uni! XD

(I have been tempted to hunt down the box set. I did like the show. Infact I should look and see if its on the UK netflix. Definately worth a watch! )

Eep. Pretty steep for a DVD collection at this part of the format's lifecycle.
But I can get 10% off on it at work so that makes it about £57. Maybe next month (Well Twilight Zone season 5 takes preferrance though so probably the month after))
