Yeah, this question is ridiculous. Very few people would be able to shoot a loved one, and anyone who can look at the decision rationally and say the intelligent answer is missing the entire point. I'd always pick the decision to let them reanimate and wander as a zombie. At least then I could delude myself that one day they'd get better.

I think you might be a bit confused on what I said(which I didn't explain too well so sorry). I would amputate a child if they got bitten immediately yes, the second paragraph is what I would do if it was too late/bitten in a vital area like the chest where you can't really perform an amputation. I didn't really differentiate the 2 so sorry

If the parent is alive, I'd let him/her shoot the kid. If that parent loves the kid, they'd kill him/her before the transformation.

I'd let my child die then when he/she came back, I'd put "it" (the flesh-eater/killer) down.

To deadman....not every parent could shoot their own child....it has nothing to do with love but emotions. If you expect to survive in a situation like a ZA, you better grasp that concept.

I am the mother of three grown children. If one of them were bitten, and it were somewhere, say, in the shoulder, that could not be amputated, then I would sit with them and hold them and talk with them until they died. Then I would would put a bullet in their brain before they could come back, because I know they would not want to come back as something that would harm what humans were remaining. If any of my other children or my spouse were still alive, I would try to go on. If not, I would kill myself. Now excuse me while I go call them all, cause just typing this makes me want to puke.

Difficult question for me as someone with borderline personality disorder. Everyone in my life gets filed into extremes of good, bad or irrelevent, so while I could very easily kill 99% of people (before they'd even turned, I'm a cold f**k) put my child infront of me and there's just no way I'd be able to do it.
In all likelihood I'd tie them up in a place where no-one could get hurt, then spend days with them, desensitizing to reality before I put them down.
