I don't think my post was in anyway a rage post. It amazes me that if a company says "you'll get a release monthly" and it is double that time frame that people think other people will just be "oh sure that's fine no big deal, even though I've paid you for a product that you are not delivering on"

And to me the save game issue is much bigger, and I would be outraged and asking for a refund had I lost those.

I was pretty shocked that the moderator would say they expect everyone to be in a calm manner. Have you guys been around people much? In any business I know of people do not act calmly when a product or service doesn't deliver on what is promised.

(I do agree with the OP that this shit shouldn't spill over to other games forums.)
The problem just is that the earlier community was more patient and even thankful that Telltale makes these kind of games, there always were complains and discussions, but it was way more harmony in the forums and therefore also a way better platform to discuss your thoughts. It sounds like an argument against TWD fans but I don't mean it that way, it just seems to be the popularity that attract all kinds of people. Some just miss the good old forum days even if they won't come back too soon. We will see when Telltale makes another MI (hopefully Lucas Arts will allow it again someday) or S&M.

Sometimes kids just need a good ass-whippin' to get them in-line, or else this is the result.

At the end of the day, if you are a TTG fanboy, then you need every TWD fan you can get from the best to the worst. You want TTG to make as much money as possible to produce more games.

So I don't really get the condescending attitude to those that aren't happy about paying for something that isn't delivered on time or those that are losing their entire saves/playtime.

if you ignore the release dates thread there isn't much moaning at all, and although having patients is good, having patients doesn't mean you should be happy about waiting an indefinite amount of time for something you should as advertised of had months ago,
and calling people entitled for wanting what they paid for just makes the people that say it sound like idiot children who have just heard a big word and like using it all the time but don't know what it means

Because "fanboy" is in no way condescending.

Where did I put those jumper cables? Open wide and say "ahhhh", K?!

What a fantastic community stating they want to shoot me in the face! Gosh, I will be so sorry to miss out on this wonderful telltale community.

But I'm glad some people get it. The concept isn't hard. If something is promised and not delivered some people are actually annoyed by it. Myself, I enjoy the game but will be hesitant to buy future TTG products, especially if I can wait until they are all actually released and get a discount rather than be disappointed by countless delays and false advertising.

The fanboy argumentation wasn't as inherently popular as you hoped, eh?

alex, we're waiting on ep4 it's been a couple of months since the release schedule was changed this subject was 'raping' a dead horse with numerous sticks inbetween ep1 and ep2 and made a small comeback after ep2 but since ep3 it's been like church mouse quiet and most people have moved on from it, accepted it and then YOU show up

quit living in the past and move tehfcuk on...

Milo calls himself "superspesh" [snip] and Sir Milo of Smeg. I mean...

Look, I agree violence is totally inappropriate response, even joking, and that's something that reflects on Cyreen, Milo and the mods that allow it: it's not a serious threat but childish and offensive, especially to victims of violence.

That said, the individuals don't represent the community. It's a fallacy to think so. Don't let the poor choices of the few reflect on the many.

EDIT: I thought "superspesh" meant what was snipped out. I wasn't trying to be insulting.

Threats of violence, however joking, aren't ok on the forums. Those involved have been given a short ban period.

Didn't realize people would be so thin-skinned as to take offense to it. Fanatic, fan-boy, doesn't really change the point... you love TTG then you want every fan possible (even if it does shit up the community) so that TTG makes more money and makes more games. Unless talking on a forum is more important than the games themselves.

I don't think that the games are actually delayed by months, just a couple of weeks. Like Ep 4 is due out in October, right? That means that TTG has 'til October 31 to get it out. From past performances, I expect to get the game closer to November 10-15. That's only a week or two (-/+ a couple of days). I wonder if anyone would still be complaining if TTG said "It'll be out Oct. 31" and it was released November 3? A few days don't matter overall. We pre-ordered the entire season + the big pack of games. I'm not mad about a few days' delay.
Too, I hope that it's a minority of people that are "shitting up the fanbase". I had never heard about TTG until they started advertising for TWD game. But I've been pleased with their other games as well as the community surrounding them. :P

when i bought the game on July 6 it was advertised as monthly releases, two episodes were already out, so by that schedule which i purchased the game on, i should just have or be only waiting a short time for episode 5, so episode 4 was due September not October

The rage seems to be centered on people with little patience for anything and nothing to do but sit on the forums or wait for the game. I know it will come out and they seem to be fairly consistent with every other month. I also learned that they are a small company that is not rich and doesn't have the power that a AAA title company does. If the game was canceled it would be different but at the moment I think the rage is unfounded and people should occupy themselves with something.

If it's any consolation, I don't do that myself.I am new and only interested in The Walking Dead, but I don't do that. The only thing that annoys me are the release dates. I actually thought they had already fully made the game, it's obivous they are making it episode by episode. So I can understand why some people are doing what you are complaining about. At the same time I agree that it's not acceptable.
