Trading with the bandits was just plain stupid considering Jolene gave us the story about what happened when she "begged them every way she could" for her daughter and we know how that turned out. Oh yeah, the people known for little things like rape and murder are surely going to be above lying.

And pulling the hatchet out of the door that's covered top to bottom in blood? Really? This shouldn't require any sort of explanation. It didn't occur to him to atleast ask "hey, this seems kinda strange, is this maybe important?".

He's had his three swings, and they were all strikes. He causes, or contributes to the deaths of no less than three people (And no, I'm not counting Carley/Doug) and abandoned Clem to be eaten alive. The only redeeming quality he had is that he finally understood he was dead weight the group shouldn't have to pull.
LMAO oh that simile is the perfect description for Ben. Reverse king midas, that's golden hahaha

In all seriousness though, every time I see his face it just reminds me of what happened at the motor inn. After episode 4 he angered me even more. I still pulled him up though since I'm not willing to kill anyone that is not a direct threat to lee's life or clem's. He is easily the character that I hate the most in the Walking Dead

I will admit I really was irritated by Ben and his lack of confidence in handling himself. Also the fact he was responsible for Carley, Kat and Ducks deaths really made me upset at him.. But I thought about something, he is just a 100% scared as hell teenager that has survived because of our group. If he had been alone there is no doubt in my mind he would have been killed already... I really understand why he is dysfunctional in the ZA. I mean think about it, you are a teenager everyone in the group is mad at you for screw ups, your parents are dead and everyone else you knew in your life is dead as well. You have a great feeling of no self worth and none seems to care about you. I understand that in an apocalyptic setting ppl are going to be more concerned about living than feelings but he is in a stage of his life where all these mixed emotions are running wild and he hasnt matured yet to think logically. This is how I see him, and I couldn't let him go when I had the chance, I couldn't allow one of group members to die especially a kid/teenager.

I mean really would you let a 16-18 year old kid die just because of his mistakes??? The fact of the matter is he will have to live the rest of his life knowing his actions allowed for 3 people to die even though he was thinking about helping the group. I think thats punishment enough. I know many of us in real life couldnt handle that, I know I couldnt.

Also the fact he wanted to tell Kenny that it was his fault actually made me respect him a little more, he had the guts to tell the man it was his fault. I dont know if many of us could do that.

End post lol.

Because of Ben the father of an innocent little boy has to kill his own son after his wife can't do it and commits suicide. Why couldn't we have just abandoned him or gave him to another group? Heck, the cancer survivors could even take him in, just let him be someone else's problem. He has good intentions but he's basically incapable of redeeming himself no matter what he does. People die or almost die around him all the time.

The only way he could redeem himself was by dying as well, his first act of selflessness in the group and also his last.

Man I thought he was going to drop it or something and it was going to cut into my face and kill me!

Love Ben to death, the entire character is golden, #1 Ben fan here!
