Default Good news and bad news.... (MAJOR EP. 4 SPOILERS)

So here is the bad news...
As most of us are aware now, near the end of Ep. 4, Lee is bitten by a walker. This scene was very emotionally upsetting to some, but I am here to offer up some hope of salvation to Lee...

1.) Since the video game is comic canon, the bite mark is implied as not the source of zombie infection. Notice the difference between an actual infection and a ZOMBIE infection.

2.) Only dying can turn someone into a walker. Bite's are not neccsisary.

3.) If Lee could amputate his arm, or immedietly stop the infection in the wound, a possibility that Lee would be o.k. is plausible.

If anyone can refute these answers, let me know.

It's way too late. In the comic Michonne amputated Morgan's arm off in 2 mins since the bite, but he was still infected. It's impossible for Lee to cut his arm off now.

Well he died from blood loss though.

Dale's leg was amputated and he survived. But I think they did that pretty quickly too. I would imagine the infection has gotten into Lee's bloodstream and coursed through his body by now. You're right, it's not the bite that turns you but the bite does kill you.

... Wow, you really haven't read the comics have you? The bite doesn't turn you into a zombie, that is right, but the bite WILL kill you. How do people screw this up?

But bites are 100% fatal.

It's too late for an amputation and impossible to stop the infection.

Lee is dead people, just accept it now so this doesn't become the new Carley...

I agree.
That might be just a personal point of view in the whole matter but I think the same.

The whole thing about the "bite", I mean... I can accept it if it's a kind of virus of some sort (I HATE the virus thingy, to me it's just an easy and WAAY overused explanation for the zombies), but what if it's not?
I think that's the case of TWD. I KNOW that in the TV show, at the CDC, we actually see the virus spreading in the whole body and stuff like that, but I just don't think it's an infection.

What if it's a "Romero" kind of zombie? What if "God changed the rules"?
I strongly believe that the zombie bite doesn't kill.
Why people die then?
That's easy, because they are bit by a rotting corpse, who knows what kind of bacteria they have in their mouths?! People die because of the wound infection, and they do because people are always "on the run", they cannot treat the would properly and I think even if they have all the medical equipment necessary, it would be hard as hell (I remind you: mouth of a rotting corpse, with bits of rotting meat between the teeth!).

Of course the easiest solution is the amputation, that's how people survived to infection without antibiotics throughout the whole history!

Okay let's just change up Kirkman's story. He is incorrect, and isn't canon for the game -_e
