Telltale Games

I've purchased nearly every Telltale game and been a fan since Hit the Road. When are we going to see the Dead End and some new games again? I've no interest in the Walking Dead and I haven't seen any new ideas outta Telltale in quite a while. Was there a brainstorming brain melt at HQ?

Having seen how successful The Walking Dead has been, you can't fault Telltale for wanting to take their time with it. It'd be nice if people understood that rather than just complaining that the next episode's not out yet, but...

As for after that... well, Telltale have already announced that they're working on King's Quest and Fables, which I'm pretty sure we'll get more information on once The Walking Dead has finished. After that, who knows?

Great job being a fan more than a decade before the company existed. I think you've got us all beat by a pretty wide margin!

I've been a fan since LEGO Star Wars. I keep waiting for another LEGO game but they never come!

Considering Walking Dead is probably one of their more original titles sharing only the world and then writing new characters/locations/events, while every other game... well... doesnt(save for puzzle agent), I'd say there is a problem here.

TTG has confirmed they will be making a Walking Dead Season 2.

Big deal. I've been a fan of Telltale since 1843. You know, ever since they did that game about the heart.

Anyway, to answer your question, OP, it's already been confirmed that after The Walking Dead Telltale will be doing a game based on the comic Fables, then a revival of Sierra's King's Quest series. There's also going to be a second season of The Walking Dead somewhere along the line.

I know how you feel. The Walking Dead's great and all, but I miss Telltale's older stuff. Hopefully we'll see Sam and Max Season 4 (or something along those lines) after KQ.

I do suggest you give The Walking Dead a try, though. It's really, really good. And you don't need to be familiar with the comic/show to enjoy it.

I'm actually glad they're back to the model of two seasons a year like their early years. It led to some great games in the past, and judging by the quality of The Walking Dead, it's leading to some great games now.

Many people (myself included) were telling Telltale to slow down. I never thought they'd do it, but I'm ecstatically glad that they did. I hope Telltale keeps this pace in the future. It really works best for them.

Guess it's just a personal preference...I'll take some witty humor any day over a bunch of zombie and vampire crap. Nice to see some people are even able to entertain themselves with picking apart semantics though...you're easy....you'd probably buy an episodic series of tic-tac-toe games if they sold that. I'd send you a price list of some of my own games from over 30 years ago but it would take too long to pull them off of the cassettes. Anyone want some old issues of SoftSide?

You know, the fact that people were able to joke about semantics kinda shows that people here enjoy wit and humor.

At the moment, Telltale's trying to branch out a lot. I'm not really interested in the Walking Dead and haven't bought that season, but I can see that it's doing very well for them. It makes sense that they would want to continue doing the thing that gives them more money especially in this rough business where it's easy for a smallish company can go under fast.

Perhaps once they start getting this stable base and expand even more, they'll have the labor force and time for small humor based games, but that's simply not their focus right now and honestly you're gonna have to either take it or leave it because you're in the minority right now in terms of what's going to earn them money.

btw the only game that they've done that had zombies and vampires was s&m s2 so im not really sure you're mad about it because that season was their best imho

I wait til the end of a season before I play their games, but from what I've heard, Walking Dead is doing very well for them both critically and financially. So yeah I don't see why they'd rush past that.
