I apologize for the late reply to this thread.

We are aware of the Xbox only issue where no matter which save slot is selected, only 1 will load. We do know that this issue only occurs when Episode 4 is installed, and appears to occur when the last played save file has a completed Episode 3 save. Removing Episode 4 will allow other slots to be accessed, and it's possible that completing (or re-completing) Episode 3 on another slot will allow that slot to be accessed once Episode 4 is installed. We are actively trying to track down the cause of this issue, and once we do, we will offer a fix.

So (again sorry for my english, I hope this is understandable for you guys :/) :
1) Make a backup of your game save (just to be sure).
2) Delete episode 4.
3) Now you need to finish ep3 again, just select the save you want for ep4 and press A to continue, you'll have a few dialogues and the credits, it's really quick.
4) When you're back to the menu you can download episode 4 again and this time it will load the good save.

It works for me, I can finally load my save #1 ! But I guess if you want to use another save slot later you'll have to redone this until the patch is coming.

Hey, thank you for the reply, it really does make me feel a whole lot better to know that the problem is on TellTale's radar and is currently being looked into

Looking forward to hearing word that a patch or update or something has been released to fix this issue! Love your game and can't wait to start playing again

Ok so I played episode 4 about a hour and a half, waited for a checkpoint then I quit the game, go to eat, launch the game again and...my save file say "episode 1" -_____-
I can't continue my progress in ep4...glad I made a backup of my save but I have to start ep4 from begining again :/
I give up for now and I'm waiting for a patch.

*edit*
Start episode 4 again, wait for the save after the "previously on TWD", go back to the menu, the rewind option reappear and I can load the chapter where I left \o/

We are still looking to fix this officially, but hopefully the workaround will help anyone who is stuck until that time.

I'm happy to know an official fix is still in the works.

I am also glad to hear that a fix is on the way. I don't think I'll play the game until the fix is there but just to get it straight, is that is what I should do to get ready for the patched version?:

• delete episode 4 from my HDD.
• Load up the game and replay the last part of episode 3.
• Exit the game using the option in the in game menu and not the home button.
• Then I can reinstall episode 4 and when I load the game back up it should work fine as long as I don't exit the game using the home button.

What if I turn the console off while the game is still running?
Do I always need to exit the game after a session?

Nice try Telltale but that doesnt work as all of my decisions on every save game are suddenly the same and not even close to the ones i've made. Still on your site your promoting the game on xbox live and taking money for it and there is not one message on the page about this stuff that completely ruins the game. If you dont fix this quick you better start sending people back their microsoft points. Unbelievable how you can just get away with stuff like this. It was a known problem but theres no problem taking my MS points for it even though u know the saves are f*cked up wich ruins the entire game.

i also lost my decisions and get the random ones! i agree with, this bug ruins the whole game, and there is still no response from Telltale for this problem!

I have already replayed with save 2 making all of my options from save 1,I only need the one save anyway,though I will use it if the same happens with ep.5.

I'm fed-up of getting my decisions changed and my progress lost.

Now I'm at the point where I've been playing the game to make up for Telltale's glitches rather than for enjoyment.

Not a chance I am going to spend money on the next episode when they are silent and ignore pleas for help.

All they've offered are fan-fixes that don't work.

I had the wrong options when I loaded it up but after I deleted episode 4 and loaded the game back up all my decisions went back to normal. I've reinstalled episode 4 and I'm waiting until I hear of a fix before I play it now. I haven't loaded up the game since reinstalling ep 4 but I did make sure to exit the game through the main menu after checking ep 3.

The reason for the random choices is because an unused save slot, or a save that does not have game progress from more recent episodes, is the one being loaded and has no data to pull from so it inserts randomized choices. Your save slots are not being overwritten, but instead this slot is the only one being loaded. The posted workaround should resolve the issue, and once resolved, as long as you exit the game through the MAIN menu, you should not encounter this issue again.

Of course this is only a temporary solution as we are currently working on a fix. I will update the sticky thread when one is available.

Yep, I loaded up ep 4 after doing the old fix and played the game and everything ran smoothly.

Made sure to exit using the main menu after it too.

Good game and I'm real intrigued about how different the ending could have been now after seeing the last stat screen and all the possible combinations. Looks like I made a couple of controversial decisions at the end of ep 4 yet still needed in the majority with that last screen.

Just wanted to say that I was having this problem since the release of Ep 4 like the rest of you but the workaround posted by Support here: http://www.telltalegames.com/forums/...91&postcount=2 worked for me. I was finally able to play through Episode 4 yesterday, through completion. Just make sure you always exit from the Main Menu until the official patch is released, or else the glitch will pop back up and you'll have to do the workaround again. Just follow the instructions exactly. (I know the wording is weird... the first time I did it, I thought it didn't work and just gave up, last night I tried again and it worked.)
