When you start the game, make sure you're logged in to your Telltale account here. Telltale is aware that some people have an issue with the game only recognising their licence intermittently, and are looking into that.

Is it possibly just slow to connect? Sometimes it takes mine up to 20 seconds on that "connecting" screen to get going.

The Telltale devs are aware of this issue too and are actively working on a resolution.
The statement here has some suggestions for things to try in the meantime. That thread will be updated when there is an official fix.
