I read the comics and played the game but didn't know til ep like 2 that everyone thought it was Lori killing Lilly...I never did. Also one thing (not sure but pretty sure) they never say anyone's last name. So they never say Lily Caul. IMO Her being that Lilly would have been dumb. She is relatively unknown except as girl who killed rick's nag! Not like we even heard her last name in the comics for those 2-3 pages she was on. I mean it would be a much much cooler connection to have Kenny become Jesus up on the hill. Long hair/beard and all anyways it would feel like too much to have anyone more come back in now...except ninja M***y who is free to return any second

thats believable but sad. I think Hershell was ok, Glenn never shoulda been there and we should have had the option to take lilly leave her or execution Carley style IMO lol.

Actually, I believe when Kirkman was asked about the TTG version of Lilly vs. the comic Lily, he said that they could be the same person or not. He in my opinion left it very vague almost hinting that it could be either thing. I am sure he knew that the Lily in the game was nothing like his character in road to woodbury (which yes, I read all in the same afternoon!) he just likes to throw fans off...which he's said repeatedly.

Lilly being in the game as the same character from the comics was one of the few reasons I bought the game. I would have probably still played it eventually, but when I got Episode 1 it was a selling point for me.

When the game was first announced and I think up to just after the second episode was released the character description for Lilly used to have this line at the end:

"Fate will one day cause Lilly to play a large part in the life of Rick Grimes"

Telltale intended Lilly to be the same character as Lilly in the comic. They wouldn't have been able to claim that without permission from Kirkman (it's his franchise).

I get the impression TT were not aware of this new book until the official announcement. That must have been a bit of a shock to them. Kirkman is entitled to do whatever he wants to his creation, but for the sake of his fanbase he should ensure continuity throughout. If he didn't want comic Lilly to be game Lilly he should have said something.

does our game lilly even look like comics lily??? i mean its been a while but i recognized glenn and hershell no prob but never even thought it could be lily from the comics and i for sure know lilly/remember her and all. I think having 2 in ep 1 (glenn hershell) was enough. Now season 2 can involve maybe Dale and Tyreese. they would hype me up for the whole second season even if they exited just as happened before in ep 1. Lily is from the game and lily is from the comic...might even get a tv lily and we got a book one, some might be 1 person but easier to think theres just more than 1 lily in the ZA

They intended her to be comic book Lilly so in this case I just do not care what Kirkman says. The character was created to be comic book Lilly, so she is. I'm soon going to be familiar with his version the character and I will take what I like from both versions and I will form a version of my own

Well, that's gonna be hard to do. Comic book Lily is the same as Road to Woodbury Lily who is clearly very different than game Lily. In addition to the whole father thing, this Lily was never a military anything...she was just a normal person.

I actually like book Lily more than game Lily.

I'm currently not taking Road to Woodbury seriously, as it's contradicting the Governor's name also. His name in the comics and television show is Phillip, while in Road to Woodbury, it is Blake.

The wiki updated his page, taking his later name (Blake) as his real name, even though in the comics it is Phillip. Since it contradicts the comics I'm not taking it as canon, or relatively, anything else in that book.

Blake is the Governor's last name. Philip Blake.
Actually his name is not Phillip, but I can't comment on that if you haven't read Rise of The Governor.
