Actually, his duration doesn't surprise me.

He had a shovel, a gun, and had been living solo for a long time.... despite his age he was probably in very good shape.

I'm guessing that the group saw Chuck's body unless they came from the sewer entrance right above the passageway to the morgue. Clementine doesn't know, however.

Sad that he died too. Chuck only got like 3 lines of dialogue in episode 4! He was a cool guy.

No way of telling everyone what happened to Chuck, guess no one seemed to care about him. ):

Maybe they don't want to know, if Lee came back alone then he either didn't find Chuck or found him dead. RIP Chuck

Well, at least he made it to episode 4 and did something very brave before his death. If you watched Destructoid's Livestream, Gary Whitta says that they were actually planning to kill Chuck by the end of episode 3, but decided to keep him around a while longer.
And I'm not proud about this, but I immediately forgot about him when I ran into Vernon's group in the morgue =/...

No use in feeling sad for the guy, he did want he wanted to do, what he felt he should do. He lived for years all on his own, he got to die fighting for people. They were strangers, but still, maybe the first people to treat him like a human in a long time.

After Clementine found the boat, and they were all waiting in the house,Lee could of use the time to tell the group about Chuck's death(off screen) but I would of preferred it to be an option.

Like Lee said he deserved better. Atleast he died protecting the group, a true hero.

I was really sad at Chuck's death. Honestly, I freaking loved the guy. He was awesome.

Heck, I'm pretty sure I was even sadder at his death than Carley's.

This. I was pretty unhappy with the writing in Ep 4, from the lack of ethical choices, to Chuck, to Bens utter stupidity and the overall lack of development. Season 2 would really benefit from a cohesive writing structure, either using just a couple of people or a whole team, because individual writers taking on different episodes is never a good idea.

I don´t understand why Gary Whitta being Episode 4´s writer was hyped so much. I watched The Book of Eli and didn´t like it.

Really? Chuck was a hobo by choice, no doubt because he preferred his own company and the lack of restrictions. He undoubtedly knew he would probably die alone and obviously saved a bullet for that eventuality.

Agreed, the idea of different writers doesn't appeal to me, and this episode shows why.

I guess, and then Lee still needed to get back to the house, and when he finally arrives he has to look for Clementine and they end up finding the boat. I guess there just wasn't much time to worry about Chuck, really.
