Omid as the Season 2 Protagonist

Only reason I could potentially see Omid as the lead for 2 is because Telltale so far how foreshadowed things with various lines and then had them come to pass. Lee starts off the game with normal for only a little bit then get's in an accident on a vehicle and injures his leg. Omid starts off normal in the game for a little bit then get's in an accident on a vehicle (train) and injures his leg. I mean it's a far jump but maybe it's them hinting. I dunno.

I agree. This seems like too much of a "coincidence" to ignore. This game is heavy on foreshadowing. My guess is that in Episode 5, Lee, Christa, Ben (if still living), and Kenny all die.
For those of you pointing out that Omid's mostly comic relief, Lee has had some pretty funny lines too. And giving Omid his wife's death to cope with would justify giving him some more “serious” response options and choices in situations he's in (the same way you could imagine Lee becoming violent and impulsive after seeing his whole family die). Keep in mind that Season 2 will probably still feature the "tailored" experience, so whoever ends up being the protagonist will need to believably be able to make both "good guy" and "bad guy" decisions.
