Oh thank god. I thought a new sale would mean more money spent. Thankfully not the case this time!

Well, that didn't take long.

Finished Costume Quest and the GoI DLC. Grubbins on Ice was especially fine, but ultra short. Also, it's level cap at 14 (and they're starting out with 10), so not much going on in that respect also. This game gets a "very nice" from me, and they're really giving old ideas a new touch. I'm not sure the motivation could have been so high if the game was significantly longer...

Ahh mondays... I figured I'd get today off from talking about GOG stuff. Hahaha, denied! Facebook giveaway time, this week it's Alone in the Dark. Enter at this link.

Got a super massive haul of stuff from GOG today. Get the historical strategy game Imperialism for only $5.99. Get the Zelda/Ultima inspired indie game The Real Texas for the launch price of $8.99. Lastly, you can pre-order Primordia, another pixelated point and click adventure published by Wadjet Eye Games, for the special pre-order price of $7.99 until the game launches on December 5th. That's it for releases, but there's a special sale going on. GOG is running a "Pick 5, Pay 10" sale, where you pick 5 games from a list of 20 and pay only 10 bucks for them. The catch is that all the games listed are indie games so... yeah, YMMV on your interest level on some of this stuff.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is an indie game?

I asked gog.com yesterday if they'd finally have the Stranger's Wrath HD update up some time in the near future (something the Steamites have enjoyed for quite some time now). No answer yet...

Somebody remind me to get Primordia when I get paid at the end of the week...
(It looks low budget, but the art design is interesting so I'll bite at that price)

Personally, I'm getting Resonance, To the Moon, Blackwell, and Unmechanichal. Any idea for the fifth game I should get? I'm leaning toward either Geneforge or Alan Wake.

I must have missed this before, but Primordia is doing the same thing that Resonance did. If you buy the game, you can play the demo now.

If you're not too busy with the last episode of The Walking Dead, check out today's Gem Promo, which is The Book of Unwritten Tales for $9.99.

Double new, indie game releases today on GOG. Pick up the old-school, 2D pixel art platformer Snapshot for the launch price of $4.99, or the old-school, 2D hand drawn point-and-click adventure The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav for the launch price of $14.99.

I'll bite on that Snapshot.
Looks nice and has an interesting little mechanic.
(Plus I love platformers! XD)

I wanted to get Dark Eye Steam free - but it's only available with the English dub, not the original German language. I will have to think a bit on that.
