Default So... What about the boat...

I hated the ending of episode 5, I love what they did with it and added closure... But they cancelled out all progress that was gained from episode 4 and 3... It seems like the progress made from getting the boat, the boat battery and supplies was a waste of time since the plot went no where with it...

The ending felt very depressing, and the 'it ends here' factor made it very tragic. But I felt it added no overall closure to the main plot... :/ only the fact that he would die anyway.

Just shows you can't trust anyone..... I'd say "I hope they get cancer." - but... they already kicked it's ass.

I know most people will immensely disagree with me, but at least that boat saved good people. Vernon and his group were by no means bad people; yes, they fucked over Lee and his group and we as players have a right o hate him, but Vernon was still good guy for the most part. In a world filled with walkers, bandits, cannibals, people like Oberson and Crawford, and broken people who let vengeance consume their life, Vernon was not bad at all; that boat could've fallen into much more malicious people.

We got Clementine to safety and gave her the tools and knowledge to survive and Christa and Omid are out there looking for her or might have even found her depending on what that cliffhanger truly means. Even if everything we worked for was lost in the end, it still protected Clementine and showed her to never give up; she's not going to go down easily. In the end, Lee and his group held onto their humanity and those that died sacrificed themselves for others, even if they hardly knew each other, and that's the best one can hope for in a world where innocence has been purged.

Vernon knowingly destroyed the chance of survival for a child and a young couple in an apocalyptic scenario, and went through Kenny to do it.

Beat him down "and" locked him in a shed with no food or water.

Vernon and the others are despicable and deserve a horrible death.

I know people will disagree with me, but I still stand by my opinion. Vernon did a horrible thing no question, but I don't feel it was enough to paint him as a bad person considering the much more horrendous things others have done.

I completely disagree. Vernon is a dog-hearted backstabber who glady lets others suffer and died for his own benefit. By stealing that boat he effectively tried to murdered everyone in Lee's group, and was porably laughing about it the whole time. Sure Lee has done some dark things, but Vernon is a &%#@ing monster!

I see only path of recourse for season 2, Clem has to track down where Vernon and his group ran off to, stalk them for several days, wait for an opportunity to isolated Vernon and make him 'go away'. Then Clem will assume responsibility and care for Vernon's group. Trust me, they'll be happier with her.

And don't worry about her age or inexperience with leadership, because she'll have zombie Lee's head for guidance and...wait, why does this sound so familiar?

Lee didn't know that a person was connected to that vehicle.

Vernon KNEW Lee's group would use it...

BIG... no HUGE difference.

I know, I just hated Campman's character and I felt the need to mock him.

Or they could have gone out and taken a dump and gotten jumped by walkers.

We did NOT know.

On the other hand, the boat had guards (unless everyone went) - so it was flat out malicious theft.

Oh, okay. That makes sense. Although I think Campman's reaction was beyond the scale of predictability.
