If Lee goes alone, how does the boat get stolen?
I can't for the life of me make Lee go alone. But who has? What if Omid, Christa, Kenny, and (for this assume Ben is alive) Ben stays at the house. Do they still overpower them all and take the boat?

Vernon and his armed group take it by force. Christa is pregnant, no need taking chances. Omid still has an injured leg, and Ben is... Ben.
Kenny did try to fight back, that's why he was bruised. |

So Christa, Omid, Ben and Kenny are all armed and they could not prevent a doctor and his band of cancer survivors from taking the boat by force. That's just too funny.
Is Joyce the one who makes the really tasty chocolate chip cookies (you know with walnuts too) or the SEAL team sniper? The others were Army rangers but I get confused when it comes to Joyce
