Unimportant Character Death Rant

Brie was so annoying and useless in my opinion, that her death didn't bother me at all. She seemed very forced when she was in the whole Crawford sequence because Lee and his group brought her to begin with to help us navigate throughout the school since she went there.

Then when we get there she has look at a map to know where to go. What the hell was the point in bringing her if she has to look at a map for a school she claims to have known very well? We figured it out on our own for the most part anyway as we had Molly and Lee used common sense to deduce where the battery was. Afterwards, she spends her time looking at the map more and claims she is very busy. Out of all the people who look at the map the most, it's the person who claims to have the most knowledge of the school and believes it is delicate and busy work.

The first thing I hear her say is that Vernon should shoot me in the head and the last thing she says is that she should get a vote for somebody she does not know and in a group she barely knows and will have no effect on her. There was never a moment where I liked her. I think Telltale is awesome for doing these contests, but whenever something is included within the game as a result of those contests, it seems very forced and does little to advance the story in any way.

I am thinking about characters that came into the serious that you never really got to know well. Three names come to mind.
3. Chuck
Chuck could have been a large role in the game. After losing Lilly, Carley/Doug, Katjaa, and Duck all in the same day, Chuck is the first guy you meet. He seemed like he will be a good group member and was the most badass hobo out there. Then he is killed off in a matter of hours in-game time. I was so shocked by the fact no one else cared. I even picked "Let's go find Chuck" every chance until I found him dead. Once again he was not mentioned in the after-screen. Chuck had so much potential and became a pointless charcter death because Telltale didn't want to implement him more. It was easier to kill him off, so they took the easy way out.

Chuck was a necessary +1 after a -4 from the group. He gets Lee on the right path with Clemmy, and helps get your group to safety.

I don't really see why Chuck stayed behind though. It's kind of similar to the KenBen death. Why not just run away with the group, they were right next to each other.
Kenny could have capped Ben and ran away with Lee too (even though I get why he didn't.)

I wasn't too upset about Mark's death. But Chuck's really got to me, he was a good character even though we only knew him for not even 2 full episodes. Amazing character.

The fact that you weren't is the problem. Neither was I, at least to the extent another charcter would have been. That's why I see his character as a missed opportunity.

I know, I hated her too and wanted her dead, but the contest shove in is my point.
