Well, she still has the blood on her dress in the end scene, so we're not sure if it even rained at all(though the blood on her face is gone).
I don't see much of a reason for a scene of that, i always assumed it would be like those who complained about the child-burying scene, that it was too long and unnecessary.
Just like how Lee and Vernon get back to the manor through the sewers, how Lee and the group get back to the manor from Crawford, how Lee and (potential) co. get back to the manor from the hospital roof(that manor is a pretty important place), they're not shown because nothing eventful happens, though here i suppose i can understand the desire for it.
It would have been nice to see Clementine searching for Omid & Christa(if you told her to) before giving up to show how and why she was in the countryside, but alas.
