Season 1 was Lee's story. You didn't start the game with Clem sitting next to you in the police car. Naturally, Lee's story is going to end when he dies. He never would have gotten to see how Clem made it out of the city. The part after the credits was probably just to let the player know Clem was ok, and set up for season 2.

Well in the show they were covered themselves in plastic so everything just slid off when it rained. But we don't even know if she got stuck in the rain. On top of that you can still see the blood coating her in the very last scene so even if she did get caught in the rain the blood and smell definitely stayed on her.

It could've been done in a thirty second segment.
The scene would be entirely unnecessary. We didn't need to see it's very easy to know what happened with out being explicitly told.

the sky DEFINITELY looked like rain and if you go back to season 1 of the show where they did the exact same thing, that is what happens - it rains and they get kind of screwed.

Well, she still has the blood on her dress in the end scene, so we're not sure if it even rained at all(though the blood on her face is gone).

I don't see much of a reason for a scene of that, i always assumed it would be like those who complained about the child-burying scene, that it was too long and unnecessary.

Just like how Lee and Vernon get back to the manor through the sewers, how Lee and the group get back to the manor from Crawford, how Lee and (potential) co. get back to the manor from the hospital roof(that manor is a pretty important place), they're not shown because nothing eventful happens, though here i suppose i can understand the desire for it.

It would have been nice to see Clementine searching for Omid & Christa(if you told her to) before giving up to show how and why she was in the countryside, but alas.

Not even close to comparable. This is a huge event because it's the first time Clementine has to survive on her own.

The same could be said for not showing her dragging Lee into the jewelry store. Not only was she on her own with lee passed out, but she was in the dead center of hundreds of walkers, and had to protect an unconscious Lee as well as herself, which is probably more dangerous than just focusing on herself wandering through the city.

Did it even occur to anyone that they may start next season off with a completely different cast at a different point in time and then cross over into Clementines story line at some point?

It would make sense, then, that they don't show everything now. I guess the good thing about a game being seasonal is we shouldn't have to wait 5 years to find out what happens.

They didn't show that because it's a plot hole.

I doubt they want to show us everything. As the game states, you're supposed to think about every option your way and that probably extends to the fact that it's up to you to figure out how she made it out. I guess she got to the rooftops and used back alleys.
