I don't think there are any rumours (at least I haven't heard any). I guess being smaller mean TTG can keep things quieter , and only release info when they're ready/want to.

I would also guess a governor or Neegan type in season 2, and birth(or just pregnancy) situation, but those aren't rumours :3

What is this race BS going on here? It has nothing to do with the next season of TWDTG - especially not if we get a new protagonist who isn't Lee everett-colored.

That said, let me (mis-)quote Rick:

'There are no ni**ers any longer, or even stupid rednecks - only the living and the dead.'

Not to sound pedantic, but Wikipedia says one of Drake's parents was a 'white Jewish Canadian', if that's the same person. It just doesn't make sense to refer to them as 'black' when most of those people (which I'm not even very familiar with) are clearly mixed. That's all.

I didn't mean to get sucked into a debate about race.

Sorry everyone, had to delete some serious insults in this thread. For some people here, I'm not really sure they meet the age requirements for the game.

The "Clementine skin color level" discussion has ended herewith. Thank you.

Going back to topic, I just had an idea for Season 2: what if Clem got bit and the player had to amputate her arm to make sure she survives? Would be really dark an mirror what happened to Lee.

Not sure if it's going to happen, but this is a speculation thread after all

It would definatly be a lot like TWD, if you had to do something like that. It would be cool, eventhough I would really really hate it. I hope you get my point anyway

Okay.. crazy idea.

Since some people think Clem might be the protagonist .. let me say, thats IMPOSSIBLE. The whole point of season 1 was to TEACH Clem what she needs to survive the Apocalypse. So what if, your choices and the whole season 1 transfer thing, makes Clems personality. Certain choices in season 1 might give her a Lilly/Take charge personality if you sided with Lilly, while Siding with Kenny makes her irrational and wanting to take care ofthe people closest to her. If you didn't kill anyone, it'll teach her, killing is only right when VERY nessercary, deciding reasoning is the best choice.

Overall I'd love to see peoples reactions if Telltale decides to make ... Clementine the leader of the Season 2 group.
It just. Makes. Sense.

I felt disappointed that Lee had to die (no game way around it), just like Carley.
It just shows, like in real life you can't have everything.
On to season 2, if there is one.
Getting to follow Clementines story is the popular vote, but where does it start. A few months down the road or a few years. Who does she hook up with Molie, or Omid and Christa (or both). She's stuck in a city of the dead, with no resources to speak of, and I have a strange feeling there will be a new cast in season 2 and Clementine will find them or they will find her, as a walker.

Did you watch the scene after the credits?

I really like the whole idea, that your choices should be reflected in clementines personality. It would be a good way to continue the story

Be biting some brains and such

But I hope for Season 2 they bring in a new group of survivors that meet up with Clem, Omid and Christa.

*sigh* Okay internet, listen carefully:

Telltale could not ignore the masses of rabid fans, simultaneously screaming "Is Lee dead!?", otherwise people would have gotten suspicious. I'm not saying he is or not... But if I were you, I would take whatever they say in regards to what happens in-game with a grain of salt.
________________________________________

Now, about me saying whether he is dead or not...

I believe that there are many contributing factors leading up my belief, which is, simply put... Lee is not dead.

¿Por qúe?
  1. When Clementine shoots Lee (if she does, obviously), she closes her eyes, hesitates, and - having already took aim at Lee's head - moves her target up and to the left. This goes against her usual shooting technique, so one can only assume that it is intentional.
  2. Lee is demonstrating the symptoms of someone with an infection. This, coupled with shock, starvation, and a severe lack of sleep, could lead to him displaying symptoms similar to that of a bite victim.
  3. We do not explicity see the bite... All we see is a zombie lunging at lee, and a wound after the fact. It could have been a scrape.
  4. In the very end, when Lee falls unconscious for the last time (seemingly from the bite getting worse), the player tends to forget that a very heavy sculpture had fallen on him moments beforehand. Concussion could have contributed to him falling unconscious, and he may not have blacked out otherwise.
  5. We do not see Clementine leave for good. If the bite WAS an issue, she could have amputated it herself. Molly and Vernon (who may have had a change of heart) are still around to help him recuperate.
  6. MOST IMPORTANTLY: In the seconds after we hear the gunshot (if Clem shoots Lee), we still hear Lee's staggered breathing in the background. She DID NOT shoot him.

So, yeah... Don't count out Lee yet. He is one tough SOB.

personally there are a few things i would really like: i would like the main protagonist and crew to be from crawford(i'd really like to see what it was like before it all went to shit),i would like to see oberson as a character maybe the antagonist for the first few episodes?, i would like one or more episodes in the winter, having clementine join your crew wouldn't be necessary but it would be nice and a lager group with more deaths per episode
that is all i can think of right now.
opinions?

I had a good discussion with a fellow I convinced to purchase this about playing as Omid and Christa. Its a given that she's pregnant and the potential for continuing Clem's story. Given the cliffhanger at the end of Season 1 I reckon it will be the latter.

But yeah, playing as Christa for half the series and dealing with both your own child and Clem would be an interesting way to continue the story, potentially changing over to Omid when she's less... eh, movable shall we say? It could also involve the complexities of looking after Clem still.

We also discussed the possibility of Clem's death. See, my argument against having Clem in Season 2 is that the emotional high point of the series thus far was Lee's death. Killing off the protagonist again (regardless of who they may be) would not be shocking and would be compared constantly to Lee's demise. The only thing that could really hit that point is if Clem died. For Lee as a character this wouldn't have worked because his whole point as a character was to protect her, whilst with Omid and Christa they also have to consider the other new child potentially being brought into the world, not just Clem.

Aight, I thought of something.

Let's say we follow a new character instead of playing as Clementine. We start just a little while before where we leave off and it takes place in a refuge occupied by a new cast of characters, most of which are relatively young, say, in college. I'm gonna say we play as a college boy. And I'm gonna say he's relatively insane. But on the outside he's absolutely normal.
Certain circumstances throughout episode 1 will cause him to slowly go over the edge while entrapped within the camp that he's sharing with the others. The dialogue choices you make don't end up going entirely as you intended and the options you choose aren't exactly what you intend either, in the same fashion as the click-bait during episode 5 when Lee lost his temper with Kenny. It goes on like this until you choose a dialogue option for him and he does something else totally unexpected. For example, when he's talking with his girlfriend and you have the three different choices in dialogue to chat her up with, the mean one, the nice one, and the neutral one, and you choose one. And instead he stabs her.

Then he kills everyone else in the camp.
During his killing spree, you have hidden or obvious options or click-bait while the character loses control to try and subdue your own insanity. In the end, you ultimately fail, however, burning down your own camp and everyone inside. This should ultimately send home the message that your choices do not ultimately control the story, they only influence it.

Later, we pick up right where we left off, and our character sees a little girl with a gun in a wheat field.

The connection between our new protagonist and Clementine will be one that helps keep him stable, and dialogue options and such make a significant difference when close to and away from Clementine, which let's say we can choose to do.

Thassit. Just a thought. I also had this other thought that the shadows in the field that Clem saw are actually cannibals that try to eat Clementine, and at their camp they've already captured and eaten Christa and Omid alive, including Christa's unborn fetus which they ripped from her stomach to feast on, and Clem & the new protagonist brutally murder them in a rage. But that seems a bit dark for TWD, so I dunno. :/

And basically the whole world will burn down with the fiery rage of Clementine fans if that ever happened. :|

IF Clem dies, and honestly, it may be inevitable, it will be when she's an adult, and she's passing the torch just like Lee did. We'll have just as strong, if not a stronger emotional connection to her than Lee, because we've been with her for so long and saw her grow. It might actually only be strong enough if we're with her for two more seasons.

I'm gonna have to say, even if it might screw things up, Telltale is eventually gonna have to let her grow. People want to see it. And it'll grant us direct access to her character so we can continue to mold it, giving us access to the strongest emotional connection in the game yet.

Stop begging... season 2 is already confirmed!

But we can beg for them to release it fast... though not at the cost of epicness!
