I get stuck after I've penciled the train directions. I press b again and again and I get nothing. So I quit and restart. I do all my chores to get to that point again and nothing. So I rewind and start again. Check list of go there and do that is done so I get back, hold my breath and it works. Next step. Switch 9. Absolutely nothing. I rewind and this time I make sure to examine it and try it before I manipulate any of the other train switches and still nothing. I know it's not easy to make a game. Especially one like this but it really feels like it's not worth it. I got one and two and loved em. I wanted to wait until the rest were out so I could play back to back. I guess I'm relieved that I didn't buy the next two just yet. I suppose this will go on the shelf for a while.

Rewound one last time. Same issue. I'm a big fan and I think these games are great but I can't help but feel like I wasted my money and there's nothing I can do about it.

Well a lot of people, me included, are in your case with this notepad and Switch 9 glitch.

This is frustrating, annoying, call it like you want.

Tried everything either nothing is working. I still hope we will get informations soon and a patch. If not I will never buy a telltale game ever again.
This game is amazing, episode 2 was fantastic and now what ? We are condemned to wait.

Please there are now a lot of threads about this issue so it's time to answer and consider a patch release please.

Yes, exactly. I wish we could get some kind of reply to acknowledge that they want to fix this and will look into it for those of us who just discovered their game and paid for it. It's not even like this is a weekend. Congrats on being nominated for GOTY though.

We have not encountered this issue before, but we are looking into it.

After activating switches 6 and 5 and heading to switch 9, can you back out and continue to move around the train? Can you elaborate on the issue you experienced with the notepad?

After viewing the sketched notepad with train start up instructions on it you cannot move around the train or exit notepad view. It's says hit B to exit then flashes by for a second but still says hit B to exit. I was able to leave cab of train by selecting the train door and clicking. Once outside I cannot move and in the lower right corner it still says press B to exit.

Thanks for the information. Can you tell me what episodes you have installed? Do you have all 5 or just 1-3?

AnnihilAnt explained the issue with the notepad exactly.

As for the switch 9 issue, we don't know if that correlates with the notepad issue or not. Those of us who tried to get around the notepad issue either wrote it down or memorized how to do it and just never used the notepad after sketching when looking at the console. We are able to use switch 6 and 5, receiving the confirmations from Kenny that it was working. Then when going to switch 9, there is no cursor to select the switch. We are able to move around and do other things, but can't do anything with switch 9.

Now before the notepad and using switches 6 and 5, we are able to use switch 9, which obviously nothing happens. I don't remember if I can use switch 9 after sketching on the notepad before using switches 6 and 5.

I have episodes 1-3 installed.

I only have episodes 1-3 at the moment.

Thanks for the quick response. We do have an unconfirmed theory that we are now testing and hopefully will have an update soon.

Game is great otherwise i would just move on to something else. Please hurry, can't wait to see what trouble Lee is getting into next!

Did you take or leave Lily?
Did you install the latest Title Update that was released this past weekend?

Episodes 1-3 installed. It keeps telling me to press b to exit after I pencil over the
notes but I cant exit and I left Lilly behind. And the update is installed.

We have reproduced this issue in house, and determined that if you have either Episode 4 or Episode 5 (or both) installed, this issue will no longer occur. If you download these episodes after experiencing this issue, you will need to restart your xbox.

Ok well i didn't want to buy the episodes until i knew i could play through but I will pay and download them in good faith that it fixes the issue.

Downloading episode 4 then restarting the Xbox did the trick for both the notepad and the switch 9 bug, thanks!
