He died of blood loss. The St. Johns only had a helping part.

Ehhh, although I can understand the argument... but that would be the same as saying like "okay so Bill shot Jill, but technically the bullet killed Jill, not Bill" or "okay so Bill stabbed Jill multiple times in the stomach, but technically Bill didn't kill Jill, her stab wounds did."

The St. Johns are the people who cut off Mark's legs after all, the reason why he bled out.

Exactly.
St. Johns killed Marc. Blood loss was reason of death but it was caused by St.Johns.
Just like you can't argue Carley died by natural cause. "Because Lilly didn't kill her, she only pulled the trigger. The cause of death was bullet to the brain, not Lilly"

Blood loss isn't "natural" - when someone cuts your legs off.

At best you can call it assisted forced suicide.
