So let's say Telltale comes out and says that The Walking Dead season two won't be out until 2014. ( which I think is likely) How many people that loved season one and are looking forward to season 2 would go, " meh, I don't want to wait that long. I just don't think I'll bother to play it when it comes out"? I think most of us that are excited for a season 2 will wait for however long it takes. Sure, it won't be easy for some people. Some will get frustrated. But Telltale was already planning new games before they saw the success of TWD, and they need to follow through with those. They are working on Fables right now. I don't know how much longer that will be. Then they most likely have one other game. Then maybe they can start on season 2. They can take as long as they want with it, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure the vast majority would like a game with fewer bugs next time. But with another great story!

Amen to that. Especially for the bugs.

On a business and customer satisfaction waiting past 2013 is stupid.

I don't see why they would wait a whole year to release another 5 episode arc? Only way is if they make it a lot longer but I'm pretty sure that season 2 will be similar in length to the first? I assume.

A mindset like that is why gaming has become such garbage nowadays.

Let telltale take there time. Let them pour time, quality time, and focus making season 2 into an even bigger and better experience.

Instead, of just simply going for a quick cashgrab.

Do the right thing telltale. Focus on your other series, and give season 2 enough time to bake long enough in the oven

I would probably have forgotten this game exists by the end of 2014. That's too long of wait...

It can't have been that good if you'd forget about it in just two years.

People are gonna buy it when it comes out regardless, there's no reason not to. Would make more sense to release sooner because of the large hype it has gotten but to do so they would have to drop everything they are working on or plan to work on for it, and I just don't see them giving up on other projects because TWD was popular. They will most likely finish whatever they have planned, then do season 2, so mid to late 2013 is my guess on making season 2, and late 2013/early 2014 for it's release.

I'd rather have another quality game rather than some rushed stuff to cash in.
I hope they take their time and even improve on some bases like polish gameplay and offer more variety and impact in choices.

Many of the people still around for TTG's earlier style of games would be quite annoyed if KQ, or a similar game, was pushed back/canceled for a new season of TWD, as good as the first one was.

Anyone wanting an experience like TWD should probably try Fables, it sounds like the property lends itself to something more like their current style of visual-novel-esque releases than their other, puzzle-based style.

As long as they don't keep pushing release dates back over and over (e.g. Bioshock Infinite ) Otherwise Telltale take as long as you need to make it right - like the first one.

For all the people saying that Telltale will probably take a break, c'mon now. I doubt they would put what is without a doubt their most successful game on the backburner.

I bet mid-late 2013.

Give them this year to make an awesome story. Let them dwell. Let them stir the pot of anticipation. And then start a 2nd season in 2014

I predict around march 2014.They still need some time to make the story, make the game, writing etc. But who knows, maybe they surprise us and it comes out in 2013!
But,since we survived the horrifying apocalypse that happened 2 days ago,I'm sure it will come out.

If Telltale's smart, they'll be trying to convert TWD fans into Telltale fans. That means making games other than TWD. Personally, I'd rather Telltale never makes another Walking Dead game again rather than a shitty, rushed season 2.
