TWD: Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!

I played episode 1 and 2. I started episode 3, i decided to stop at a save point and finish later. But when i loaded the game, it was back at episode 1!!! I am using pc.

Which version do you have? (TTG store, Steam, CD, ...)?

It's possible that your issue is caused by having multiple prefs.prop files, which sometimes happens for unknown reasons.
There should be only one prefs.prop, and that's in the savegame folder:
Win Vista/7: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead
XP: %userprofile%\My Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead\


Please check if there are additional prefs.prop files in the install folder
(e.g. \Steam\SteamApps\common\the walking dead)
or its subfolders.
If so, make a backup copy of the prefs.prop and delete it from the install folder.
If that doesn't help, make a backup copy of the savegame folder's prefs.prop, and then try copying the install folder prefs.prop to the savegame folder.

This doesn't work. Went through three chapters and then the game lost my saves. The files are there but the game is not recognizing the saves. I have tried all the work arounds posted, but NOTHING WORKS!

Your issue is different, since your savegames are gone completely. Here the game seems to load an earlier savegame though.
Not everything works for everyone.

I see that you already tried "restore previous version" and "Siezemore fix" without success. I'll answer in your other thread.
