We'd all become so bored of immortality that we'd have to spend several very boring and tedious centuries inventing an anti-immortality pill. Either that or the world would eventually perish and implode and we would all be left to forever float in space, all in completely separate directions. Again this would be very boring and tedious indeed.

if they suddenly just got hands we would just have meals with cow hands in it, but if they had evolved hands it would be because they walk upright like us and with that they can carry things and use tools and with that their evolutionary advantages would shift towards intelligence, and then depending on the timing of all this they would probably be extinct because they would be a threat/competition to humans not food to breed so therefore more likely to not exist any more.
