Well, those messages really worked to make me feel falsely safe during the scene, so when Lilly opened fire, I was shocked, to say the least.

About Carley's "injury". I love Carley. But she's dead.
It was shocking and unfair, of course, but you can't change what's happened. It just happened, gotta deal with it. She was a great character and a very nice girl, but she's gone. And Lee's dead too, so... I guess they will meet again.

1. "it just grazed her"/ "she could make it" (denial)
2. "Fuck Lilly (and Ben)" / "choices mean nothing!"(anger)
3. "What if i had said something different?" (bargaining)
4. "*sobbing* *has to stop playing game*" (depression)
5. RIP Carley (acceptance).

From experience, 5 is the best one.

Honestly? I never thought Lilly would fly off the handle like that. The way it went for me was:

*Carley will remember that*. Hmm, guess Lee has a chance with her after all.

More accurate picture. Highlighted area is parts of your brain that is necessary to live. Blue line is trajectory of Lilly's bullet. As we can see, it hits the thalamus. The Thalamus is an organ that takes in all sensory and nervous information, and relaying it to where it's supposed to go. Thus, Carley is dead.

Believe me, I have played the game roughly 7 times (due to need for video-footage), I have seen that scene more than enough. It wasn't her cheek.

Edit: My proof the shot penetrated her brain thus resulting in immediate death:

it is a joke picture, sort of saying if you think Carley survived it is just as likely that Doug survived, and when you look at it like that most people say doug died and would realise that carley died aswell

I dont think the bullet hit the brain. Lilly was holding it normally, one handed. The bullet of course travels in a straight path. She was shot when she was turning her head so probably there was an exit wound in the other cheek. Basically, she was facing sidewards, then she gets shot. The bullet travels straight, so i dont get how it hits the brain. Lilly was holding thr gun normally, not tilted or angled.

Was discussed before. A Hand is almost always below a head. So the angle of the bullet is upwards. This is confirmed by basic physical logic aswell as confirmed by the lightning effects (see pictures above) which further proof the angle of the bullet.

But why are we even discussing this. She is dead for sure. I mean, her death is even more certain than the deaths of Shawn, Brie and Ben.

Okay, she wasn't killed by a 9mm bullet passing through her brains. She was left by the side of the road and she died of bloodloss with a huge part of her brain missing and spread on Ben's jacket. You happy now?
