Not sure if this was a direct shout out to the acquisition, but Rumplestiltskin choked out Smee with his mind on the latest episode of Once Upon a Time.

Interesting. (the 7 Samurai SW thing) Something in me, though tired of Star Wars, is intrigued at the idea of a random spin-off non-epic story in the SW universe.

And shot down. His agents deny any involvement with Lucasfilm at all.

It's a rich universe that's been Jedi'd to death. One of my favorite parts of Star Wars was reading the Tatooine guide written from the perspective of an anthropologist. He tracked the Sand People's oral culture and their death cult surrounding their banthas. Great stuff.

When I was younger I wanted to write a light sitcom about the people who hang out at Tosche Station. Luke would have been an incidental recurring character.

The thing is Jedis are so cool, but they've done too much. Catered to that appeal above and beyond what was ever necessary and it's ruined Star Wars as a whole for a lot of people. I'd like to see stories outside the Republic/Rebellion/Empire/Jedi/Sith nature of things. Something on the outer rim or outside of it. Something just completely ignored by the mainstream characters and plot but running parallel to it. No Death Stars, Star Destroyers, Tie Fighters, or X-Wings. All new stuff that feels just as much like Star Wars. That Tatooine guide sounds interesting. An entirely different take on a completely different society's view of The Force, the dark and the light side, and technology.

Nope. I have Tales from Jabba's Palace kicking around in the loft somewhere. I seem tor recall it being a good read - especially the story of the guy who raised the Rancor (that we briefly see in the film mourning its death).

If they ever get around to actually making the live-action TV series, that's what it is supposed to be.

I've always loved the bounty hunter and it is the most point and click compatible thing within star wars

Little more blatant this week, but the outsider on Once Upon a Time has the Star Wars theme as his ringtone.

They've now announced the director of the film...

Spotty McGee and the Fun-Time Preposition Police

They have. Seriously.

It's J.J. Abrams. No joke.

I'll believe it when it comes from Starwars.com

I wouldn't be surprised if they went with him, though
