Plus the RPG games have evolved significantly. You're telling me Final Fantasy is comparable to Persona? Or the Elder Scrolls is comparable to Mass Effect?
And how exactly as TWD changed the point and click genre besides quick time events?

The walking dead has changed and point and clicks by allowing the story to be 'tailored' depending on choice
And there is a big difference between variety and change and the best RPGs now haven't changed too much since the old ones
Point and clicks have evolved just as much as other Genres the only difference is variety
Not all change is for the good and the evolution of Mass efffect 1-3 or
Morrowind-Skyrim
Or shooters in general is the same and most genres 'change' by mixing with others
Shooters have different varieties but the Arcade action have became different gene all together
I do like a variety of Genres all I'm saying is that it is unfair to say that Point and Clicks haven't changed when most of the good games follow the same format and the games that are considerably different or the start of something new
Walking dead isn't my favourite game, point and click or otherwise but it could be the next step to the evolution of point and clicks
