No longer loading episodes -- TWDG

Hello,

I have played through all fives episodes of The Walking Dead game on my PC and wanted to replay some of them. When I went to do so, I could click on the episode, but before it would begin the rewind option popped up (even though I did not wish to rewind). Either choosing 'yes' or 'no' to the rewind option only gave me a black screen (with the game mouse present), no loading screen. The problem persisted and eventually did not even give me the rewind screen, but just the black one. I contacted Steam assistance and verified my game cache files and ran the DXSetup installer. It did not help. If I could get some help with problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please do a search for prefs.prop files as described below. Follow the steps exactly as written.

First, open a command window.
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "cmd" and press enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the Windows key. Type in "cmd" and press enter
Windows 8: At the start screen, type in "cmd" and press enter

Copy this command line and paste it into the command window, and press enter.
dir /B/s c:\prefs.prop |clip

When it's done, the results were automatically copied in the clipboard. Start a new reply to this post. Then paste the clipboard into the reply, by pressing CTRL+V.

If you have the game installed on drive other than c:, please also copy the results for that drive.
You just have to change the drive letter in the command. E.g. for d:
dir /B/s d:\prefs.prop |clip
