Sorry, but, itīs just seems like nonsence to me.

Everyone wants season 2 now, or even better, yesterday. And when TT releases season 2 everyone will complain about glitches and bugs and that they should have been spending more time developing the game...See what I mean?

Guys, this is a videogame, they are not making diner, stuff like this takes time. So, I donīt know, read the comic or watch the TV Series (continues tomorrow, canīt wait), because this may take a while
It takes a long time to develop a FULL game with many new assets and advanced graphics/animations, etc. The Walking Dead is an episodic game, and is not a game that is highly praised for its graphics and animation (no one really cares...). It doesn't take years to make a single 2-3 hour episode with a lot of reused assets. It took Telltale a couple of months to develop each episode of The Walking Dead (not counting episode 1, as I don't know about that). I don't really see why it would take Telltale more than a year to release a single episode in the sequel to its most successful franchise, by far.

Sure, it probably wonīt take years, but, letīs be real, they wonīt release it in the next couple of months right? Maybe next winter.
And itīs like Riadon said, we donīt know how long it took to develope Episode 1. Maybe they will now develope faster because they allready have a working engine. We donīt know that.

But, on the other hand, this was my first TT game, so what do i know?

Well, they've had the same engine for eight years now. In fact, it's getting old and wrinkly, and a complete revamp is about time...

I have no idea when Season 2 will be squeezed in. For above mentioned reason, my guess is a little later. Like, April 2014.

I don't see Telltale coming up with a new engine until next-gen consoles are released (and even if they do, it probably won't be used in any games before next-gen). They might pull a Bethesda and just keep slapping new effects and optimizations onto their current engine (I hope not, Gamebryo sucks). They may even use an engine that isn't in-house, but of course, that would also slow down development due to unfamiliarity.

But just imagine The Walking Dead with the comic artstyle and Cryengine 3's lighting . Not going to happen, but I can always hope

At the very least, the game could use some better textures, everything is pretty muddy.

April 2014? Really? 2014??? Are you serious? They did episode 4 ( the most longer episode) for two month!
I guess I know why no news we had, because Telltale just doesn't made a scenario yet. They had a scenario on the entire first season (except for some moments, like romantic relations with Carley). I mean that making the episodes it's not a big problem for them, making story line that would not be worse than the first season, and to reflect the decisions of the players it is really difficult, but 2014... it's not seriously guys.

Is the Fables game going to be episodic? If so i could see it being very early 2014 or late 2013. Unless they also do the King's Quest game, and if that is episodic or not(i really need to keep up to date with Telltale stuff). Now that they have an idea of how fast/efficient they can produce multiple episodes at one time, I'm sure they'll get better at it.

Also, how long has Fables been in development? If it's been made completely from scratch i can maybe see it taking up the whole year, but if they already have some ideas or have already worked on it then it could be released quite early, then TWD season 2(or King's Quest) after that. Heck, maybe they release season 2 and Fables and King's Quest all in 2013! eh heh....

As it stands i just don't see Fables taking the entire year to create(but i don't know much here), so it seems likely TWD season 2 will be late 2013 or very early 2014 unless they opt to save it for last.

Forget it. I wanted to bet (=держать пари??) that TWD Season 2 would come out later than April 2014. It would not be a very secure bet though... I might lose.

Of course, Fables will be episodic. It's hard to tell how long it's been "in development", that depends on how you define development. You could possibly even say it has been in development for more than two years now. I'd assume that Fables would not take the entire year as well... but then again, this is exactly what we thought about TWD in 2012...

Fables was announced by Telltale in February 2011. After being postponed TWICE, they re-announced the game in October 2012, albeit without a release date. The idea of Fables has been with TT long enough. Hopefully, it's TT's next game.

Of course it will be, stop worrying. Check out this post by puzzlebox in the Fables forum:

...oh no, wait, they've been working on the story for Fables as well, since June 2011. So if they only just started working on TWD Season 2, it will come out in September 2014 at the earliest. Poor chief.

If I had to guess I'd think we'd see TWD's teaser return at E3-2013.

Well, they are hiring a bunch of new staff this Spring (California time), so they'll likely have a shorter development cycle. I doubt it will be out before Q4 2013 though.

That, ALSO, is what we already thought for TWD... I'm in the wait and see department here for a reason.
