Does anyone here like the new Metallica album Death Magnetic? I think Hetfield lost his voice.

metallica always were the worst of the thrash four, musically and vocally; anthrax, megadeth and slayer are so much better. and i cant listen to them due to arrogance (on their part, and the way they lost one of if not the best musician to play in a thrash band.

The songs I heard off the new album bore some similarity to their old stuff, which is encouraging. I doubt I'll be buying it, though.
I'm also still puzzled at their decision to bring in Robert Trujillo on bass. The man is a fantastic funk player, but Metallica is famous for burying the bass beneath the other instruments. Seems a waste of talent. |

The only Metallica I listened to and liked was from St. Anger. I loved the way they did the drums.
