Is this not a 24/7 site? For several hours every night I can't access the forums.

That's a known issue. The website performs some maintenance at certain times at night (Pacific time).

The issue is resolved in the new TTG website that's about to come.

As you can see, one of the side effects is that double-post can occur if posting during these maintenance hours.

When we sign up for the new forum, will we be able to keep our post count? You see, I am very proud of my "senior member" status.

If the new site is like the beta, you'll keep your post count, but it won't be displayed by the messages you post, so it won't be quite a "status symbol."

We'll have to see what happens in the final version, of course.

This site indeed is so unreliable. It makes posting and browsing so annoying.
