I could merge both threads into one if that helps you.

Is the weather nice in Conspiracy Land today? I actually went and found this thread so that your post (which you seemed to put a decent amount of effort into) didn't get buried in the thread where the quality of response has basically disintegrated into "no u".

Just wondering, but do those who order TWDG from Steam get the updates on the same day the new episode gets released ?

People who are bitchen about the game not bein a game need to step the hell back and relize its labels as a adventure game and like almost every single adventure game basically like old point and clickers it is a interactive story and thats just how the genre works if you dont like the set up best go find a nnew game genre to play in im just saying too many idiots who have bought the game expecting some typical zombie hack em up game and well yer bad not tt's tt problably the only game company that is making the old school adventure platforms and some really good ones and for the name carrying the series. heh TTG has made a name for them selves doing games we old schoolers like they brought back sam and max and moneky island hell jurrassic park and bttf series its how the company works even fables based off another ip.

It seems to be exactly like that.

If the idea of losing $30 is enough to send someone into a hissy fit on the internet, perhaps they should consider investing their limited funds in something that is not a video game.

30 bucks is a nice bonus to have on a bill, so you can take your stupidity and shove it asshole.

And is this all about money? No, thats why I listed other reasons why I was/am upset about this game. But hey, i'm not surprised you want to dilute my entire post down into that small fragment so you have something to harp on about.

I was responding to zgamer, not you. You can tell that because I quoted him in my post.

Did you even read the post that zgamer was responding to?

Really necessary? If money is that tight, don't spend it on video games.

Hate to break it to you, but when you post in an open forum with an unpopular opinion, you open yourself to criticism.

That's about as absurd as saying that racial slurs are only offensive if they take it as an insult. You are losing your argument.

And most adventure games require some level of interaction and problem solving to complete them. This one(at least episode 2) is VERY straight forward and requires very little from the player.

Yes, Telltale probably shouldn't have said there would be monthly releases. No, they haven't been as transparent about timeframes as possible.

The reaction here on this forum is out of proportion. Look, I'm an impatient guy, so I know what it is like to be anxious to play the next episode. The froth being generated about a video game being delayed is just absolutely silly, though. Being frustrated that it is delayed is one thing, but the amount of anger here is pure insanity.

The reasons presented for being upset are logical, but the drama that is being associated with just a delay is facepalm-inducing. Even if Telltale closed their doors tomorrow, you'd only be out $30. Well, pro-rated it'd be more like $18. There is no good reason for this much hostility. At most, everyone should be mildly irritated. Outrage is not the appropriate emotion.
When you look at it from JUST the delay being the issue here yes it is out of proportion. The real issue here is the delay and the way telltale has been perceived as treating its customer base. Then as an upset customer you come here to the forums and see a bunch of unhappy customers getting ganged up on. Thats the perception this forum gives at least....I've lurked a bit more and think I have a better handle on whats happening, but at first glance this whole thing is fubar'd. Its enough to get you all riled up...

I agree that I didn't express myself like I feel I should of, but as I said its easy to mistake whats happening here on these forums and get riled up. I still stand by the points I made and hope we can move on from previous posts. For my part of it I do apologize, but I still feel the other side crossed the line just as much.

Default Steam Sux!

Buy TWD from the TTG store directly like I did. I'd dare to say the TTG copy runs much smoother than the Steam version, based on what I have been reading

It's exactly the same build according to my information.
If there are problems, they should be identical.

To be fair, additional problems could be introduced by the Steam overlay. I don't know that to be the case, but I do know that I have had issues with it in the past.
