Default Did you found the creepy shack by luck?

Did we suppose to find the voodoo shack by luck? Did anyone use the map to find it?

I found it before I found the map.

I found it before I got the map. But it was by trial-and-error, not luck.

Me too, think it was normal. The map was useful just to learn the password, I guess.
I didn't try to follow the map to find the shack, I'll try!

The map is pretty redundant it seems!

The map is there for story reasons and for people who might be afraid to wander (or unlucky) and never managed to explore there.

Really though you just need to keep walking up and/or left and you'll probably get there probably.

Probably not the only person in the world! Just in this thread. I saw plenty of reviews where a reporter used the map.

I solved two riddles just by pure luck:

The first by luck solution i still don't understand, maybe someone can explain this to me?

It's the second walking riddle in the jungle, with the map with the clouds. I had no idea what to go for and just went into the proper direction by luck when the cloud was the symbol to go for. For what do you need to listen or look for when the cloud appears, any idea?

The second one i got by pure luck as well, was the end with the doctor where he was screaming when turning the wind cycles. I only afterwards realised that maybe the way he screamed was the indication if a position was right or not. If that's the case, i find this a rather unlogical riddle.

One riddle i got stuck was getting on the ship. I simply had the idea to get the underwear cut slightly (of course armed with the ticking bomb), so that when your trying to move the bomb torwards the captain, half way the bomb drops down into the trousers so that finally the bomb explodes near the captain. I ran around quite some time, finding out that there is nothing for slightly cutting the pants. Oh well... :O)

Wow, looks like luck dominates this. But what should we expect? If anyone gets stuck, they're gonna wander around the jungle which would lead them to the shack eventually.

I actually got this one by examining the weather vane and, noticing that I could see a face that I hadn't put in any of the idols, recreated that one and it ended up being correct.

I solved both maze puzzles by trial and error. I figured out the second one involved the wind towards the end, but I thought the animal thing was pretty obtuse, it wasn't until I read the comments here I realised how it was supposed to be done. It was easier to just use trial and error.

Found the voodoo shack by luck when I examined the jungle for the very first time.

I also solved the second map wind puzzle by luck. I was trying to listen for the wind, lol.

Afterwards I found the weather vain and immediately realised that is how it should have been done.
