Default Question about New Monkey Island game vs. processor speed...

I'm very new to PC gaming, having just recently bought a new computer and downloaded the second season of Sam & Max, and I wanted to buy this game so badly. The problem is that a 2 GHz processor is required to play the game, and all I have is a 1.8 GHz Quad-Core Processor. I don't know if it will still work on my computer or if I should just download the WiiWare version when that comes out.

i would bet that you would be fine playing this on almost any new computer. 2ghz is probably just a recommend.

I have a feeling that won't be an issue. I'm running a 1.8 GHz Dual Core, and Monkey Island works just fine. As long as you have some kind of video card, you shouldn't have a problem.

Just download and run the demo. Buy if you want to play the whole game.

Yeah, I've got a pretty good video card. Thanks for the tip!

2 GHz single Core. You have 4 of them that work together...

It says "2 GHz Pentium 4" - and while Pentium 4's were designed for being able to use very high clocks they were incredibly inefficient.

Any recent processor should run circles around a 2 GHz P4 at 1,8 GHz (or even at just 1 GHz), so you should be fine.
