Hey there.
I purchased the new Monkey Island game you guys have just released and I really like it. There’s a huge problem though. For some reason, about 10-15 minutes into the game (at any point in the game), it overheats my laptop computer to the point of it shutting down to protect itself. Why is that so? My laptop is VERY well ventilated and air circulation should prevent any “normal” heat produced by the computer. Besides, I can play any other games on it (Telltale or not) without any problems of the kind.

So what’s up with that? What’s taking so much processor power that it can kill a one year old high-end laptop ?

Let's start with a couple of questions to see what we are dealing with.

At what resolution and graphic level are you playing?

What is the Brand and Model of your notebook?

What operating system are you using?

Further go to your Start menu and click on Run.
Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
Then go to the Display tab.
From there, post this information:
Name:
Current Display Mode:
Main Driver:
Version:
Date:
