meelWORM said that they were selling them at Hot Topic and Wal-Mart about five months ago. It was part of a series. There was also a Mushroom and Piranha Plant. There may have been others, but those are the only ones that I am currently aware of.

PS. I still want one of those Mario Caps. I was 150 coins shy of Platinum Status on Club Nintendo. I hope that they will sell those at some point.

Why, is Platinum Status not available, Ps if you just find a red cap, white cloth and cut an M on it, and do a little glueing, BAM a new mario cap.

Platinum Status is not available to me because I did not accumulate enough coins. I did however have enough coins for Gold Status, and was able to claim the calender as a prize. On the bright side, I will not have to go on a scavenger hunt at Wal-Mart for a new calender on January 1st. I always seem to do things at the last minute.
