I really like it. Although it will be much harder to make the Special Edition with that technique, so I think MI2 SE will be similar to SOMI SE, but with better artwork and some parallax scrolling in background and foreground.

However, Telltale could put some episode in Scabb Island and make it look somewhat like that. That's what is missing from TOMI, somewhat better textures and better lighting. Can't wait for some episode during night to see how they make it look. At least Episode 2 seems to happen in the late afternoon.

Very cool. Would work great for a 2.5d game like most point-and-click-em-ups are.
