I used to have a game with a demo on it that looked very interesting. I've since forgotten the original game and the name of the demo. From what I can remember the demo was published by Sierra and I'm going to guess is somewhere in the area of 10-15 years old. What I can remember is that the game was fantasy medieval and was based around nation building. You also had a Hero that (i think) led your army and he was also able to adventure? Any help would really be appreciated. I'm really afraid the game may be garbage but I just can't seem to get it out of my mind.

I feel like such a failure I've tried and failed to find the game a handful of times.

Was it the Caesar games possibly?

This Lords of Magic game looks like my best bet but I'm having trouble getting the demo to work in XP. It looks like its missing a file.

Lords of Magic is available on GOG. Their version is compatible with XP and Vista, you should try that one.

I got the demo working but this isn't the game I was talking about. Damn this is going to be tough.

It's not a Sierra game, but maybe you're thinking of Heroes of Might and Magic?
